Deejay Dallas - if you forgot about him and anointed Harris the man (big fan myself) then you may have been too quick there. Young man had a nice game.

Greg Rousseau - didn’t seem to play a ton but every snap he was in there he was making something happen. Monster future.

Brevin - he’s going to leave here a legend

Bandy - all in all the secondary took some lumps but played well I thought. Bandy is who we thought he is.

Jarren - a lot to work on but I was impressed with his toughness and not forcing throws despite the absurd amount of pressure. It was a sickening game to watch but Jarren impressed me given the circumstances

I dunno, maybe my bar is set so ******* low, or maybe I just don’t have the energy to be ****ed off at this team anymore.

It’s going to be a long season filled with great moments and mind-numbing frustration.

Strap in.

I thought one of the biggest positives with Jarren was his accuracy. Exactly what you need in a big time quarterback.
He did make some very nice throws. He wasn’t being helped much with some absurd drops either.

He’s clearly the guy. No disrespect to our backups but I know one of them would have thrown 10 INTs under those circumstances. I like his future a lot.

It hurts still but I’m encouraged. We haven’t been consistently good for over a decade but it still hurts to lose. That said, even Kirk Herbsteit said we should win the Coastal. We have talent. Just gotta Press On.

We should have won the coastal every year we've been in the ACC. The coastal is consistently terrible.

We’re more talented than UVA, but they will be exceedingly better coached than us.

They have generous schedule too.

Coastal isn’t a given by any means.

DJ did shell up on a run at the tail in of the game. When you're a big back you have to run that way like he did on the wildcat run. But we need to be more physical and that's where Lingard comes into play. Speed and runs hard. I know people will say his injury but Gore had to injuries like that and came back running hard.

I still don't know what to think about the Virginia hype.
They played about as well as they could at home and we played as awful as we could on the road and they still BARELY beat us last season.
This season at home we should take care of them. Especially since the crazies come out for night games.

Well their defense is the best we will see left in the schedule.

And they return a QB who runs the system good for him.

They’ll be tough

I think we will be very good by the end of the year. I see our OL and QB okay improving during the season.

As bad as Zion looked, what I saw was Zuniga jumping at the exact time the ball was going back to Jarren. It looked like Zuniga had a big head start. That’s when Zuniga blasted past him.

When Zuniga didn’t jump like that, I saw Nelson handle him okay.

Maybe the snap count was too predictable?

They could be tough for all the reasons you said, but it can also be a blowout in the biggest home game of the season on National TV. It could be our VaTech 2017 type of game for all I know.

Which is why I said I don't know what to think about their hype right now. The season will tell me more as we get closer to that game.

It’s like people hunt for excuses to knock Deejay. It’s weird.

No really wasn't. It seemed he was gassed and shelled up at the end. I wanted to see him in that wildcat in one of the two last series because Florida seem to not defend that well. I DJ! Another man's opinion

Gotcha. Could be. I think your Lingard reference maybe threw me off.

I can’t wait to see Lingard full strength but same time Deejay is capable of putting up some monster numbers in ACC play

And he didn’t get caught from behind on his TD run...

I think a better pattern of rotating the backs in would be ideal. I hate the wait until the next series or tired. Keep them fresh and making the defense have to work because that game was taxing with emotions and everything.
