There are many fans right now, who are regretting the decision to let him go... especially after Georgia’s terrible blowout to LSU yesterday.

With Smart, they expect and demand Saban level performance. The LSU loss has the UGA faithful frothing at the mouth right now.

So, honestly, if not Richt as best available to Miami at this moment, who would be better?

Miami is married to Richt for at least 3 more years as they just don't have the will to eat the cost and find someone else.

Georgia was in the National Championship game last year in Smart's SECOND YEAR as HC ! ask any semi-intelligent Georgia fan if they miss Richt and get laughed out of town !

Thank you. Reason from a Ga fun. Everyone butt hurt because of the loss. I would have cursed you out last night if I read this. I'm calm now. Miami has had more success the last 2 years prior to this one than we had in a long time. Plus Richt ain't goin anywhere so I'm not gonna stress over it. I hope he's willing to make some coaching changes to improve the team.

15 years of history at UGA told us what Rick is. He’s a 9.3 wins per year guy. That’s who he is. I thought he could parlay the decrease in competition level into a pretty steady domination of the Coastal.

In turn, that would stabilize the program, which was toxic at the time, and he could retire in 8 to 10 years leaving the program in great shape for the next guy.

But I never expected him to be a NC coach because he had 15 years to do that at a comparable program and couldn’t do it. I also didn’t expect what he’s done here, which is be a slightly better version of Folden.

We won a decent bowl game in '16, and were #2 in the country in late November last year and essentially in a CFP play-in game last year with Clemson. That's more than slightly better than Golden.

NO one cares where you are ranked in during the season. It matters where you finish. Mullet had Miss St. ranked 1 at 1 point as well.

Oh yeah, then why's everyone flipping a **** right now?

Golden never had us ranked at the end of the season and we were #20 and #13 under Richt. More than "slightly better".

And Golden got to #7 in the country being undefeated with the same type of wins. Until we played the first real team in FSU.

Little different situation playing a backloaded schedule versus winning every game until the last week of the season.
 
well, im not feeling this but there is one thingthat stands out with this team. Our 17' and 18' kids are by far the most talented kids on the team. The 18' class looks great. Golden's last two classes are haunting us now. You cannot win w/o any great senior leadership. Cannot have a lopsided roster. We have two youngs qbs and inherited a horrific one. i dont care what scheme richt has, kosi and rosier arent dominating anyone playing the way they do.

I understand what you're saying but it's inexcusable to lose to Pitt, get blown out by Clemson and blow the Wisconsin game.
