I admit, I was excited when he was hired. However, at the time, I thought what has he done? Sadly, the program is not and does not attract elite coaches. I guess we should be happy we were able to get Richt.
 
Some people still supported Shannon until the end.
Some people still supported golden until the end.
Some people still support Richt, even though others think it should be the end.

OP, why do you sound shocked?

I was a Butch guy but thought Richt could right the ship and at least get us into consistent top 10 territory. Richt has become a 8 win a year coach with top 10/15 talent.
 
I love the guy and think he’s a great person, but he’s just delusional if he thinks this about execution.

I would love to see him hand play calling over to one of the co-offensive coordinators for the rest of the season.
 
Although I’m not a Richt homer, I want to see if he is willing to swallow his pride and let the university hire an OC, it’s unrealistic to think he will get fired soon, best bet for you guys is that he retires, if he lets a real OC call his plays then he’s fine by me even if he’s being payed $4 million to babysit
 
It is really sad when former players are watching the game and can tell you the next play which is what B. Monroe, who was watching game with former players, said last night on WQAM. If people watching the game can predict the plays, so can opposing coaches.

don't need to attract an elite coach. You get out and go get a young innovative guy like a bunch of these assistance out here who are doing things like Oklahoma did with Lincoln Kennedy. Chit usually a good HC will surround himself with superior coaches anyway but richt seems to be a control freak to the toon where he just want guys around who will follow his sorry *** lead. Coaches like that usually end up being trash.
 
His offense is **** and couple that in with our QB and it’s been a disaster. He needs to hire a young fiery OC to rub the O like he has in Manny on the D. He can then get a rocking chair to sit in on the sidelines during games since he doesn’t like to move much or show any emotion. Let the coaches coach and the CEO oversee it all.

8 wins a year is below his Georgia average. We need to examine why a coach would have more success in Athens than Coral Gables.
