Had the pleasure of watching Canes beat them in 1949 by a score of 28-13.In 1950 the Seminole war canoe trophy came into being. This was awarded to the winner of the game until.FL decided to end the annual series. At that point Miami decided they would keep it forever. Last I saw it was located in Miamis Hall of Fame. Is it still there ?
I remember reading about the UF student body passing a resolution to lay claim to the canoe after the 08 game after we had it from winning the last of the series games in the 80s. It was supposedly thrown in a trash heap until two students found it and hung on to it for awhile. After the UM HOF was built they donated it.

Wh knew we had senior citizens as fans too

I spend alot of time at Shula's and in Miami Lakes in General. I've met alot of people that tell me the craziest stories and introduced me to people "Connected". I'm sure your joking but I cant be too sure. Some Senior Citizens pull some of the baddest b****s in the area.

All I know is with all the old folks in this thread, we need to keep Kellen Winslow Jr. very, very far away

if you go to the games and sit in the good seats you know we have senior citizen fans. the real question is who knew we had senior citizens posting on the board.

I sat behind the Miami bench during the Clemson rout in the ACCG. I left the game ****ed at halftime. As I’m walking up the steps to leave there is a 80+ year old man having **** near a heart attack as me and my girl are leaving.

Medical professionals rushed to him quickly. I think he just got stressed by the game.

But we definitely have older fans in the good seats.

Started posting on Grassy so many years ago I can't remember. Since then I've come on other boards and this is my latest one. I'm a UM alumnus and I'll be 70 next month.

I, too, posted on Grassy for years. I attended the U for 2 years and married a guy who was on football scholarship under Andy Gus. I am 81 years old and still love football and the Canes.
