Not sure if he's changed his pick but a couple weeks ago, Stanford Steve said he's WAY high on Miami, the are 1 of I think 2 teams he thinks that will make the playoff from somewhere off the grid (yes, I know #19 is not entirely off the grid, but we weren't the ACC favorite preseason), but he said he thinks we LOSE to Florida but run the table from there, win the ACC, and go 12-1 headed into the playoffs.

I don't even want to think about a scenario where we lose Saturday, but if the earth stopped spinning and it happened, I'd probably be OK with it by December if we really did win the next 12.

They'd be stupid not to. Wouldn't think they're confident about the UF OL/Miami DL match up. Their best chance to win is with explosive plays.

imo they spread us out and try to pick on the secondary. I pray Guidry has our corners up in their faces pressing not allowing easy throws in bail technique. Mertz will eat you alive on short intermediate stuff if you’re giving clean releases.

They better be up to the task of blocking the DL then if they plan to spread us out. Cuz if Mertz first read isn’t there he might not have a head on his shoulders by the time he gets to his second read.
 
Asking a QB that has never been a down field threat to suddenly become one in the first game against a very good DL is quite the gamble. Maybe they think that's the only way they can win. Maybe it works out for them.

From Napier's perspective, a blowout is probably the beginning of the end for him. I would try and avoid that at all costs. The 4 games after Miami are winnable.

While that is true, **** that. Slowing games down leads to too small of a margin for error. We don’t want 21-20 type games. Texas A&M game is the blue print. Come out hot and keep your foot on their necks.

You can slow it down when you get the ball with 2 minutes or less remaining and are up 2+ scores.

The bear sounded weak and scared on the pod with dmoney and Mike.

Hopefully the team isn’t a soft and weak as the bear. I think a lot of ppl are in a prove it stage with Miami so I don’t fault anyone for picking Florida.

Miami has better talent. Now do they have a better team and win on Saturday is the question. Kids have to prove it on the field

💯 agree. Press them and make him beat you deep. Don’t let them dink and dunk to move the chains and wear us down.
 
On the flip side I’d be very multiple and not be afraid to spread them out and let cam move around the pocket and grab easy yards if nothing is open. Last thing I want to see is forced bro ball.
