I loved his recruitment, actually. He picked Miami when many others didn't and trolled UF. What's not to love?

I just think, objectively from a roster perspective, he plateaued here and that, in 2022, JHH will make a leap and would have gotten more reps. Same for Taylor, and the portal guy(s). I might be wrong, but I don't think that's an outlandish opinion. Does anyone really think Nesta was going to be much better in 2022 than in 2021? Maybe a little, but I think he's pretty maxed.

As far as "expectations" go, everyone had very high ones for him. He was a high 4-star kid who was the 54th best recruit in American with a .9730 rating. That projects to an P5 First Team All-Conference player pushing for All-American status and a mid-second round pick in the NFL Draft. Not every athlete matches their hype, but do we think he's anywhere near his projection? He obviously got a crap grade from the NFL or he'd be training for the draft right now.

You know me man, I really believe in market principles, Occam's Razor and all, and the fact that he landed at ASU says a lot to me. Herm Edwards is 25-18 at ASU and on the hot seat. They were 8-5 last year after a .500 abbreviated covid season. They were busted by the NCAA, had to push out coaches/ had more resign under duress, and just signed the 103rd best recruiting class in the country (they had a worse class than FIU, GSU, WMU, UNLV, New Mexico, and Ball St.) and the very worst class in the Pac-12. That program is a mess.

Was that really his best option? If it was, the market is speaking.

I'm very glad he picked UM, I wish he had stayed, but it is what it is. We lost a 2022 depth piece IMO. Not sure why people seem to think that's an aggressive or "sour grapes" opinion. No hate. Our roster is getting better, that's all. He will always be a Cane in my eyes, and I hope he feels that way about himself and the program as well.
Think he could have helped himself and his draft grade if he had stayed and busted his butt in S&C. Maybe he didn't feel that he would get enough snaps under Steele's scheme and the roster with the new guys coming in ... and rumors that they are looking for a portal transfer DT. Would have sucked for him to have remained and ended up only getting reps in mop up. Really had high hope for him based on ratings when he committed. Never met expectations ... D1 ball is another world competition wise vs high school.

Feeling like today may be a hiring day. Something in the air. Could be a fart. Could also be a hire.
Hopefully they announce somebody hired in an on field position to shock the world and not just a goal post evaluation specialist.

What was cool about Cash is he morphed from rockabilly to outlaw with the railroad sound in between. Best song writer for me is Carl Perkins. That cat crossed all types of musical genres.
Carl Perkins and Willy Nelson are probably 2 of the greatest song writers of that genre...

I like pretty much anything other than country

My Liked list goes from Dayton Family to Jessica Simpson pretty seamlessly
That's funny. You don't like country music but you dig Jessica Simpson? GTFOOF.... She was super hot tho... Ill give you that.
Her music not so much........ There's some classic country music out there bro.... it's ok. Give it a listen... Country covers all kinds of genre's.
Country's not my favorite but if you love music you probably need to expand your listening library.

Definitely has to get done this weekend you would think. Been quiet for a while after the splash hires we’ve made, it would make sense to finish this up soon.

😂😂🤣 I don’t know if this was sarcasm or not, but there’s some variables that we don’t know. In all honesty, we don’t know how far they were actually into the “race”, or whether they was “racing” at all. Gattis could have been on his 1st sprint trying to motivate the players to finish, while the players could have been on their 10th or so. It’s a lot we don’t know.

LOL - Gattis is 38 and tied with one of our upperclassmen CBs. Unless he's related to Darrell Green, it shouldn't be that close.

Ok, man... If it’s a full out sprint, then you are absolutely correct….. but we don’t know how many sprints the players had already run. And we don’t know if they were actually racing. In my younger days, if my players we’re running say 20 100’s. I would run the last 2 with my DL (my group) as motivation. I would routinely beat them. Does that mean I was faster? **** no. It means that they were exhausted cause they had run 18 100yd sprints and was just trying to get finished. I was relatively fresh😂. Was that the case here? We don’t know. But I did that until I got too fat and old (not to mention pulling a hamstring, lol).
