I’m not going to get ahead of myself, but as a casual gambling man and someone who took numerous Kent St Team Total Overs this season, I had the pleasure of watching a plethora of their games.

He is lethal. He’s fast, aggressive, step on your throat type. His salary is pennies compared to what we can offer.

Like Cribby said, make him say no.

i'm Telling ya... I think Brady is the guy... I've noticed his name hasn't been really attached to coaches who are up for NFL jobs...

Point is: You said Candle isn’t that good, yet Candle’s numbers say otherwise (again, 4 top 40 offenses in the last 6 years), despite the fact that he had comparable talent to his competitors. Context illuminates why his numbers weren’t that good last year. He had a dog **** Oline and his starting QB retired before the season started according to another poster. I’d imagine we’d see a serious regression in Arky’s offensive output if KJ Jefferson was unavailable in 2022.

Anyway, I guess the discussion is moot anyway.

Honestly, I typed out some of it, had to get ready for work, by the time I got ready for work, Candle turned down the job, so it made the whole thing feel kinda moot. So I just hit reply to get rid of the saved message.

That is 100% how it is for most normal job opportunities, but for this I would think he should know almost every pro and con going into it. What do you think could be info he gained during the interview that would turn him off to the job? Maybe Toledo upped his pay, ego got in the way? Just weird to show your employer you are looking unless you want something from your current employer imo.

I still wouldn't be all that upset if Ponce is our O playcaller. I think he is the goods and just hasn't made that P5 move yet. I like his balanced approach.

As I've stated before, whether it's OC or DC, all the names that have been mentioned for either position are fine by me except Coley for OC. Coley as OC would be the first (and I'm sure not the last) eye brow raiser in the Mario regime. Regardless, I'm still rolling with MC even if he makes the Coley mistake!

One other name that came up recently that I thought was intriguing and roll with as well is Tee Martin. I think he's got a good passing game to bring to the table (makes sense as a NC winning QB), but also his recruiting. Out of literally all of the names that have been mentioned for OC, I don't believe any of them would recruit better than Tee Martin. That guy wielding the U symbol as OC, would clean up in O recruiting (assuming all things being equal with NIL).
 
There was a DC rumored to be flirting with ND… think he may have been negotiating for a few more bucks with the place he wants to be or is currently signed to…
