I think it's great that Miami took great advantage of a national spotlight they may not have otherwise had and seized it. Now, they get the prime time slot, again.

Again, to me, this year is about putting forth an entertaining product and showing recruits -- hey, this is where you want to play. So far, so good

Yessir.. You cant buy that type of promotion, especially when you have exciting brand of football.. And the way people watch games while tweeting (kinda like we do on gameday thread since message boards are relics on social media), the engagement is crazy when you have the entire football world watching, dying to see a quality college football matchup.. From recruits to NFL scouts, everybody watches and tweets along..

I mean, first of all, you have other conferences not playing for a few weeks, then it was a game that was canceled that bumped Miami-LVille to the prime time game.

And then the offense came out and did what they did. Miami didn't just win, but they were actually fun and entertaining to watch (and lets be honest, that has rarely been the case recently). I mean, if this was another Central Michigan-type game like last year, honestly, it could have a negative impact on things

But now, look at the coverage UM is getting. Now they get another chance to shine. This is why Manny has to treat this like a Super Bowl, really get on these guys. To me, this is a test for him as a young coach -- can he keep the troops focused?

I agree wholeheartedly, its why I dam near scream that the admin doesnt seem to understand the brand value and how its national even international.. If we could just marry the right system to showcase, it makes it that much easier to get the type of players we need, there is a certain energy that other even top universities cant tap into, even people who hate UM love to watch..

I saw it weeks ago how these other schools starting late, and schedule that if things break right we could get multiple primetime slots, I think originally thats why UL game was at 3pm because execs didnt want 3 games back to back, but had no choice, we handle business and its a BIG matchup that can be sold with star power..

Even our kicker and punter got people tweeting, Headley just on his look.. I know older folks might not realize how social media is where young kids LIVE, it has influence, things become cool very quickly..

after we wood chop the holes, we should be in the top 10 and probably top 8 as the sec teams start weeding themselves out with loses between each other. that would probably give us another college game day and primetime slot vs Clemson on ABC @ 730pm. the Texas vs Oklahoma game is on that day but they will probably be shown during the day and get college game day.

Yall do realize he's also saying we won't be able to sustain this type of success against better teams??? In short, you're only doing this because we haven't played anybody.

soooo, you're saying that against better defenses it becomes more difficult to get yards and points?

That's incredibly insightful. This is why come on this board

Texas Oklahoma is usually a noon game at the cotton bowl is it not?

Couldn't agree more. Needs to tell our guys people think its all hype. Have em go out there with a chip on their shoulders every game.

Texas - OU will also be on FOX so there is no chance it will be on ABC anyway.

They are using Covid-19 and "Kirk's travel" as an excuse to do game day from the site of the ABC night game so they can promote their own product more IMO. Bear actually said it was a factor on-air this week.

This year Gameday is going wherever the prime time game is, so that Herbstreit and Fowler can call it. Past years they would just fly him from game day to the night game. My good friend is doing the tailgate at home segments for game day and confirmed. So I wouldn’t expect game day at an SEC game unless it is one on ESPN.

He's just saying you can't always win with big plays and sooner or later your luck runs out. In other words don't stop playing defense in the second half. Too soon for all the hype. EVERYBODY needs to show up this Saturday.
