Just a question(for anyone).... last year before Cam entered the portal. Who was considered the better QB? I'm asking because I wasn't following Cam before we started pursing him.I'm just presenting the Kool Aid.
And before this gets misconstrued- I personally don't think any QB in America right now is Cam, including Beck. We haven't had one of him in my lifetime and we may never again. But Beck has a very high ceiling compared to most college QBs.
There really isn’t a QB in college who has wowed and is clear a top tier guy. Draft specifically. There’s a handful that can be, and Beck is certainly one. I’d truly be very surprised if we don’t see more of 2023 vs 2024 CB. And mainly, it’s going to ACC. McCord doesn’t have near the intangibles of CB, and he led the nation in passing at Cuse..I'm just presenting the Kool Aid.

Success is seen with the mind. Once the eyes see it, it's too late.Oh boy....this is a perfect test to see who isnt opened minded and will dig in to protect Cam. They can only see things after the fact. "no way is Beck going to match Cam"
Beck may stink...but its May 12th. So at this point this statement from Feldman is 100% potentially true. We probably dont even need Beck to be 90% of Cam. If he is just very good, the OL protects him and we run the ball our offense will be plenty good enough to make the ACC Champ game and likely a playoff.
The defense is the big "We cant be any worse right?"
I agree to a point, agree that Cam is his own system and that is where he had value and Beck likely needs more pieces but I do think Beck's ceiling can be high. He has a lot of intangibles. Even with those intangibles stars likely need to align more for Beck than Cam.Will be elated if I'm wrong about this, but I don't at all see Feldman's view.
Beck needs the system to work for his specific skill set. Cam's rise to #1 overall is partly because he is the system or can be successful between them.
Two very different values, IMO.
Cam played at Washington State and Beck played at Georgia. If roles were reversed Cam is a 2-time NC.
