most people dont realize through all this butch won 71% of his games at um.

That’s crazy. What coincided with the negativity from the fans was the failure on the field. These kids know what they’re seeing on saturdays.

U think that recruits would excuse failure on the field, and pin their nfl hopes on a failed system, if only the fans were positive? No way.

Recruiting falls off when the kids see that they don’t want to be stuck in a system where they won’t thrive. RBs will thrive here, but QBs, WR, OL won’t.

The cause and effect relationship here is not between fans and recruits, but recruits and coaching.

One other thing... richt was expected to win his division from day 1. He inherited from golden. enough talent to beat the coastal.

Last year the fans got hyped cause we made it to #2, but if u go back and read threads.. we were all still complaining about the O. We knew what was coming.

If mark wants to recruit well again he needs to change up his coaching staff or get better at scheming. You and I have no impact on it.

Also, all fan bases have the same vitriol Miami does. Yet, coaches follow up bad seasone w solid classes all the time.

To be fair Vick didn't play much that game because of a bad ankle.

I remember someone had a blow up doll dressed up like Vick and they folded up the ankle.

Yes they do but at same time they also ridicule them.like Perry for instance before the season and the two wins he was the savior when he played terrible and lost they also turned on him.but that's what we do best celebrating one minute cursing the next minute.

Don't get me wrong I do agree changes on the offense side need to be made.but need to leave defense alone it's not broken.if offense would just uncork itself will be no problem attracting decent recruits.
