Real fans know and playwrs and coaches and recruits that he needs three years. I was a butch guy hard and openly said he wouldn't win day one. Anyone thinking otherwise is to in love withkids high school careers and think it translates to talent. Nfl numbers dont mean **** if u sending seco d or third rate players to the league. Butch got us used to sending bama type guys like jones cooper dix and others....he got us used to it so thats wjat we want. We want dominance and game changing players....players that on saturday cant be handled one on one.

Alot of fans and beat writers and aziz dmoney included dont have any idea...they think we send the same types of kids to the league as we did before and its not true. Numbers dont mean a thing to me and im sure every d1 or most have a kid in the nfl. Doesnt mean there great

In my eyes I don't see any regression. They sucked last year and suck now. We couldn't run the ball agsint good teams last year. We were trash last year. We need talent everywhere. How could I judge Richt when he hasn't the worst line in Miami history. It's hard to call any play when your line isn't this bad. The only reason he tries to even run the ball is to keep the defense honest.

If your eyes only see "suck" or "great" then you're right. But we're definitely worse this year in every quantifiable way.

OP has convos, I have my eyes. Ignoring the 3 cupcakes, we are 1-4. We should be 4-1, if not for our inexperienced OC's play calling. The ONLY redeeming note is that Richt finally finally finally altered his play calling, against ND.

As far as talent level, what matters is ours vs the other side of the line of scrimmage. We have enough talent to play competitively against the ACC (save Clemson). So far, Richt hasn't taken advantage of even the meager talent he has available. Exceptional coaching could have gotten us to 4-1. Ordinary corching has given us 1-4.

I'm tired of potatoes making excuses for bad coaching. If you blame the players, then you must also look at the coaches. Are the coaches holding up their end? Are they putting our players in the best position to succeed?

BTW, if this season keeps going down the **** chute, do you think next year's ticket sales are going to tank again?

His going away from RPO in the second half, calling designed plays that rolled out Kaaya made a huge difference in poor Kaaya play and poor OL play for sure.

UM must have future NFL Hall of Famers at 5 or more positions. Otherwise, the fans can't expect us to score points and move the ball against ****** defenses. Just having guys who will play and contribute in the NFL isn't enough.

I didnt have big hopes for gray because a hs coach i know told me he couldnt play RB. he runs too upright and is a straight line runner.

as far as VT, Fuente has a qb that doesnt take 35 seconds to make a decision.

So his players so far - Richards, Pickney, Shaq, Jax. So far, the Frosh look pretty good. Notice I did say I am not supporting or against him yet, and I took a major shot at him about Kaaya's play. My opinion so far, on a limited basis, is he should have an OC calling plays other than himself, however, I am not ready to make a full observation off 8 games. IF we look at what was projected to be of this season, most experts didn't pick us to be all that good this year, and it turns out they were exactly right. We were playing with fool's gold with the cream puff schedule start, at which time I took the opinion we were hyping ourselves up for failure.

All in all, I personally want to see it play out for the rest of the season, the recruiting cycle, and start of the next season before I make calls of Richt was a bust.

It is one thing if an offensive coach isn't able to put offensive players in the best position for success.

It is another thing if an offensive coach isn't able to outdo Coley/Golden with essentially the same offense (10/11 starters). I don't buy that bullchit about needing a whole team of their players. That is crap, we've seen that excuse before. The NFL will show that there is plenty of talent here.

Richt needs an OC in the worst way. We have seen enough to know he can't call plays.
