Another South Florida miss by Fat F*ck Golden

Kid is making plays as a junior at Wisky (but he's 5'9).

He's from Plantation, FL...which is less than 60 minutes from Coral Gables.

Thanks Al for being a completely inept moron.

Anyone who supported Golden post 2013 should be tarred and feathered.

He didn't receive offers from any of the big three. I'm not defending Golden, but some are always going to get away.
 
Kid is smaller and slower than Tracy Howard he isn't built for man coverage or better acc receivers. Look at the game he played against Ohio state he got beat like Rodney King

That Herald article about Mackenzie is more than enough to show you how stupid our last coach was! I can't wait for this team with competent recruiting and coaching!

Just because a soFla kid doesn't receive an offer from the other 2 north Florida schools, it doesn't excuse UM from not offering.
UM should know the area talent better than anyone.
Period.
 
Hold on, AG is a terrible coach. There is no doubt about that. However, we had just signed TH3, Antonio Crawford, Gunter, Dotrch, Hope and Vernon Davis just at cb. Let alone we had Bush and Jenkins at Safety. Then in Sheltons year we got Artie Burns, Jamal Carter and Corn Elder. So, at that point we were pretty **** loaded. I have a hard time thinking he would have beaten those guys out. Gunter is in the league, Crawford was playing pretty well prior to getting booted from the team. TH3 has been solid. Burns is going pro this year. And Corn might just be the best of the bunch. He will surely get drafted next year. So should we have not taken Burns and gone for him? Or Corn? At that point maybe only Davis was gone from the huge previous class at cb. There were some colossal misses by the staff. However, at that point they were getting some stud DBs in here. Lets at least make sure we have ground to stand on when we talk **** about AG. He left plenty to be desired but this is just a reach. IMO

Marshall Faulk wanted to go to Miami, but Miami wanted him as a corner. Treon Harris wanted to play quarterback. Miami and FSU wanted him to play corner. He goes to Florida, and he's been awful. It happens.

Even with the misses Miami should have won 10 games with competent coaching. Receiving corps was fine.

And Dennis missed on Marvin Jones, who won the Butkus. And Butch missed on Snoop Minnis who was a consensus All-American. I think Miami was okay. There was this kid from Dallas Carter who rounded out the Bermuda Triangle. Minnis was nice, but I think Reggie Wayne and Santana Moss did just fine.

There are at least two dozen kids from South Florida who can play corner at the Division 1 level. You just have to get 2 to 3 of them each year. Stop looking at who we don't have and who we have. Corner wasn't the problem. Coaching was.

Agreed. It was really 2015 when golden screwed up our corner depth. He was waiting for tht class since there were so many sofla studs and struck out on all except redwine. Carlton Davis is maybe the best corner at Auburn as a true frosh
