So you finally got to see Tate.

They set him up for failure starting him inside the 10 like that. He should have gotten more than one drive, at least he looked like he wanted to play.
He set himself up for failure by missing the last 3 regular season games and 2 other weeks during the season.

Looked like he wanted to play? He had the deer in the headlights look. Did not step up in the pocket to let plays develop. Just backyard football at it's worst.

Not his fault. He shouldn't have played. Didn't deserve to play. As the coaches said, "He hasn't done anything to deserve to play." They played him anyway.

He had 1 drive. Inside the 10 no less. Didn’t exactly set him up for success and not even close to enough to judge him on but at least he got a first down and that drive was the most entertaining drive of the game. Sad but true.

Nothing happened to make me think the other 2 should have been seeing all the snaps above him though, that’s for **** sure. So not sure what you’re gloating for..

On to 2020, hopefully TVD comes in and wows but if not I’m(fairly) confident a competent OC should be able to find a competent starter out of next years QB room.
The fact that he hasn’t been fully committed to the team tells me all I need to know about him.

So OP you think he got a fair shot being inserted in a bowl game at the end of the year when he had no game experience all year plus the personal issues he had and all the practice time he missed? Don't hate on the kid he wanted to be a Hurricane.

The only ball he threw, he completed for a first down. He put the ball the only place the WR and not the DB would catch it. Yes, he scrambled around too much. Overall his performance deserved a definite longer look.

I should let OP respond but he had watched him play qb in high school games in Vegas and op told me he didn’t think he was that good back them... but he said the wheels where always great.
I just think that we had the worst coaching ever and it definitely showed. But I also would have liked to see more of Tate now with hindsight.

Well, OP is not the only one who lives in Vegas lol

Justin Fields
Jalen Hurts
Baker Mayfield
Kyler Murray
Joe Burrow

That’s just recently.
Good post

I always tie in NFL success that's my problems with QBs. Like I think tebow sucks even though he did well at UF. Anyone who stinks in the NFL stinks to me always. I still measure Miami players through the NFL period no one can change it. That's what got me into the U seeing so many greats on Sunday I was like holy Fuq so many players not only players but pro bowl types.
