So you finally got to see Tate.

Look at every decision manny has made and tell me one that worked:

1) Bring back JT4
2) Target Tate as QB
3) Hire Enos
4) Fail to bring in OL depth via portal
5) not kill himself
6) alienate lingard
7) not develop LBs and play walk ons
8) hire bum position coaches
9) refuse speech therapy

First it was reported that Tate got injured on his last attempt. Second, he didn’t even have enough confidence to throw after he completed that 7 yard pass. The game was too fast for him. He is quick but he goes no where vertically. He is who he is. If he was this stud that some of you made him out to be then OSU would not have been so eager to let him walk.
Finally, as for the UF game if you think Tate would have broke away from that defense you’re crazy. The kid did exactly what he did tonight averaged 1 yard per carry.

I’ve been critical of Perry. I didn’t really think he was that good (although I was sort of impressed tonight) and I will admit I am a fan of JW but the young man has been playing awful since UL and has been inconsistent at best all year long. He doesn’t have it either. However, if you watched today and say Tate was good then I don’t know what you saw? The man couldn’t get past a DT for LTech? He couldn’t put run a 300 pound kid. He has a good first step but he isn’t outrunning anyone.

Perry sucks too. We don’t have the answer at qb right now unfortunately

I was never big on Perry but I do think he improved since last year. He’s a good backup. If you need a QB to come in for the starter for like 2 consecutive weeks at the most. He’s like the old OSU QB who played when Braxton Miller was hurt back in 2012 or 2013 (not JT or Cardale). But you’re right. There’s no QB.
 
He didn’t look great in one series

JW and Kosi have looked like **** the whole season

penos of course could not call plays that would help him

he should of played the rest of that half but I think he was hurt which is why he didn’t get anymore playing time.

What do I think? He fought for yards. His O line sucked. His WRs could not get open. I would have liked to have seen him against FIU too, but today I feel he would not have saved us.

How can you judge Tate after 2 drives??? How? Especially as you claimed with him missing so many time off. This is the exact scenario with Jarren last year when Rosier was starting over him and Kosi. And we were begging Richt to throw him in the final bowl game. Manny Diaz says this game will be an outlier for spring practice but then plays the kid 2 drives. Wtf? I try to hold no bias in this QB race. All 3 playing like *** cheeks rn, but to say how Tate was managed today was beneficial. If disagree

You forgot that he's clearly a moron.

1. Tries to juke LB instead of running straight ahead for 1st down.
2. Doesn't know what Hail Mary means.
3. At least 3x he sees blitz coming from slot CB (pointed out by KJ), doesn't switch play, hands off to RB to run right at the blitzer.
4. Etc, etc

I’m going by how he played. He ran side to side but could not move forward. You saw him being unable to run pass the DT. He struggled to make a 7 yard pass. Like I said, I don’t think any of our QBs are it but Tate running around like his head cut off did not impress me. I know some of you still hold out hope for him but he wasn’t ready this year. After missing so many days of practice I don’t think he should of played today. That was unfair to him and the team. Especially if he was dealing with personal matters.
