So..Who do we want Indiana or Oregon

Oregon for the tears, but I think we match up better with IU. Plus, no one will think we beat them, which is what we need.
Miami matches up well with Indiana, but Indiana is exactly the type of team that Miami has historically struggled against.

Smart, experienced, fundamentally sound, and running the exact same defensive scheme as us, right down to the violence.

We're also the one team IU fans have repeatedly told me in Pasadena and Atlanta the last two weeks that they do not want to see.

Their technical combos normally knock people off kilter then the **** out, but Iowa, Penn State & OSU all were able to take the beating and dish it back for the whole 60 minutes.

Ultimately Cignetti is still a killer and dispatched those bullies, but he knows they were just imitators. Our caveman is more clever than those frauds and co-opted Cignetti's defensive tree to prove it.

Miami is some tough sons of ******* and won't be daunted, no matter how many combos the Hoosiers land.

Oregon is banged up, has a bad OLir, a distracted OC & DC, and will be so far up the own asses overthinking the Cristobowl that they would be the easy choice.

I initially thought Oregon, but Mendoza has been sacked 14 times in his 5 games (0 against Purdue which should be discounted since Purdue terrible). That's where our defense thrives. IU defense a bit better than Oregon's I think, but Oregon's is no slouch. I think avoiding the QB who could go nuclear is the better option and agree with @cway313 that QB is Moore not Mendoza.

Does anyone else think the Indiana coach looks like this guy?

Both can get this work! Our guys understand the mission. They have this certain togetherness that I like. The mentality in Hecht has shifted and we have real deal DAWGS on our team. Not just one or two. It’s a locker room full. Both teams are going to present challenges but this one like the rest will be about the Miami Hurricanes!

Isn't Oregons offense similar to how Ole miss plays? I think we'd match up better with Indiana. I refuse to believe that they are as good as everyone thinks they are

Oregon plays up-tempo but has smaller WR (6'1 or shorter).
Indiana plays Mario ball with most of their WRs being 6'0-6'4 and two NFL type RBs. IF 1-2 of OJ/Brown/Lucas can play, give me Indiana and let our DL eat.

Stats wise: Indiana has a better D and O with much better wins.
Stars wise: Oregon has a ton of talent.

Wins over 9+ win p4 teams:
Indiana has beat Ill, OSU, Iowa, Oregon, and Bama - 3 top 10 wins
Oregon has beat USC, UW, Ill, Iowa, and TT - 1 top 10 win
Miami has beat: Ole Miss, OSU, Texas AM, ND - 4 top 10 wins

Common opponents:
Indiana vs OSU: 13-10
Miami vs OSU: 24-14

Indiana played 2 G5 (both 9+ winners) + 1FCS
Oregon played 0 G5 + 1FCS (champion). OOC were Oregon St and OkSt - maybe both counted as g5 this year
Miami played USF(9+ winner), ND, UF, Bethune

To beat Indiana, force anyone but Sarratt and Hemby to score TDs. They account for the more of TDs vs good teams similar to Ole miss with Wright (TE) and Lacy (RB). Oregon spreads the ball around and hasn't played a ton of ranked teams.

We execute whoever they send. By the way it doesnt matter because whoever wins shows they are a really good team. We just cant beat ourselves like we tried last night
