for top South FL recruits to not consider Miami?

Money? No, we can meet or beat most offers now

Facilities? No. We're now on par with the big boys.

Campus? It's nice but I guess some guys like old buildings and racism.

Attendance? This is still an issue. We pack the house for big games and when we do it's one of the best environments in CFB. But the reality is no matter what you'll be playing for a half empty stadium half the time.

Conference? Yea we're in a meh conference now. It's a double edged sword with FSU, VT, and Clemson falling off the map. Short term good for recruiting but also bad for the allure of the conference overall. Kids are still enamored with playing the in SEC and our conference rivals aren't helping.

Winning? We're beating the blue-bloods now. That excuse is dead. We're back and set up to be competitive for years.

It all comes down to handlers and kids that want to get away and live other places. The old excuses are gone.

I think the conference thing is a huge negative. The only way to beat that narrative is to literally win a natty in the ACC and put a bunch of guys in the draft to show guys it doesn’t matter. But all these guys have been raised under the propaganda machine of SEC and B1G being the only conferences worth a ****

Up until this playoffs it was “conference” and how ACC really isn’t in the same league as the SEC. We just about eliminated those narratives in 2 games. Outside of conference/TV, the only other one is development for the next level.

Some kids just want to get away from home and get a change of scenery. I can imagine being raised as a stud athlete in SoFLA with all these toxic handlers, 7 on 7 owner types how they might want to remove themselves from that situation or even just getting healthy distance from an overbearing parent. But objectively, we are on par with any OOS program with what we can offer both short & long term wise.

SEC TV exposure and brand deals until we start signing dudes to Nike like Jeremiah Smith etc

Honestly who gives a ****? We are targeting fewer local kids because the bar has been raised, and the ones we are brining in need to be dogs like Bain or Toney, otherwise they can **** off and we’ll bring in ****** dudes from Atlanta or Orlando or whatever.

I’m sick of these ******* divas … most of them are closer to mark pope or whatever than they are to an actual difference maker.

I'm not so sure about the crow tbh. When watching the TTU/OU game...satium had a lot of Aqua gaps in it. Granted, one team playing was from the pacific NW, but it kinda just said to me it's hard to fill up a pro stadium regardless. I mean, it's miami...there are things to do.

Meanwhile, the cotton Bowl was packed! And the split was pretty balanced. I'm thinking maybe cost adjustment would go along was in boosting in season attendance. Make it worth your wild.

There are no excuses now. And the excuses are irrelevant. If we consistently pay the most in the country, have a beautiful campus, and environment, good academics for jits that care about that, and elite environment to succeed, F all of them that dont want in.
