So what's the difference between Lincoln Riley and Lane Kiffin?

Other than the former is a an uninspiring bumpkin from West Texas and the latter is a bratty wise guy born on third base.

Each is widely recognized as an offensive wizard, but is that actually enough in itself to return a program to elite status and/or maintain dominance in this era of College Football? Sooner or later, defensive coordinators always figure out a way to contain a certain approach, scheme, alignment or play call. Geniuses come, geniuses go.

Riley and Kiffin share a disdain for recruiting and hob-nobbing with alumni or fans. Neither would ever be described as a culture-builder. Basically it's "let me stay in my corner office and draw up ways to outsmart these DC's but leave me the **** alone cause I'm not really interested in the rest of my $10M-plus job."

Is that mindset enough to get UF or LSU where they want to be or keep Ole Miss at the level the Rebels are this season?

Riley went 55-10 at OU but lost his three most significant CFP matchups to Smart, Saban and Burrow/Chase/Jefferson.

USC is stuck in neutral and the underachieving Trojans could finish outside the Top 25 for the third straight season during his four years in LA.

Why should we expect a much-prized hiring of Kiffin to do anything much better with the Tigahs or Gators?
I thought this was gonna be about blow and waitresses.

With all my heart and everything i thought i knew about college football believed Lincoln Riley was as close to a cant miss as it gets. Boy was i wrong. I kind of stfu now about such matters
Honestly after a few years I realized that anybody who talks in absolute terms about coaching hires is just talking **** and making noise. Nobody knows anything, not the people talking on tv or twitter/boards,, not the people searching and somehow even less the people doing the hiring

Seen bad/uninspired hires turn out great
And home runs hires turn toxic in months

one has to be thoroughly retarded to believe that Kiffin is not an amazing recruiter

the guy HAS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY TALKING ABOUT HIM. he had the University of Mississippi relevant for four years.

only an ignoramus believes that Kiffin is not one of the best head coaches in college football.

considering approximately 20 FBS coaches just got fired in the past year.

Kiffin is a bubble tech stock...maybe it goes x10 higher...maybe it collapses...either way...you gonna pay a huge premium for that stock price relative to earnings....
