Wow. We are obviously not the Miami of old, but now we're chalking up losses at home to Clemson and Nebraska? Why shouldn't we able to beat those teams, as well as the other crappy ACC coastal teams, in year 5 under Golden?

We lose players - like every other team in the country. If we don't have players that are as good to step up, whose fault is that?

Yes, I have. What are you trying to suggest? My point was that I don't think it's unrealistic to think that we should win at least 9 games at this point. Have I seen anything the last 4 years to suggest that we'll win that many games? Nope, absolutely not. But, I'm not going to lower my expectations because of the past failures and incompetence of this staff. I will continue to expect us to, at a minimum, win the Coastal Division and contend for the ACC championship. If those expectations are not met, which they likely won't be, I'll continue to hope that we fire our incompetent head coach and his staff so that we can bring in a coach who will help us reach those very realistic goals.

Get used to football being trash at the U. Even if Fat AL goes in 2016, look forward to Cristobal as your coach. Delusion is powerful. The franchise had Gary Patterson "sitting back and thinking to himself" that the U would be a great job for him. People convinced any other school would want to poach Al. Hoping for a Spurrier romp that will lead to a clean house. The body rot is thorough in the program, and it has succeeded in dividing the fan base more than any other team could have. Only through death comes rebirth. Maybe in 2019 we can reach 9 wins

Ummm no, that was supposed to be this year. Literally any coach that isn't completely retarded can take a team with this talent to the ACCCG every year in this garbage conference.

Only way he can reconcile is if he wins a championship.

This is a problem here. If he somehow manages to pull 9 wins out of a hat, the slurpers will be beside themselves in "I told you so" threads and some on the fencers (and even some haters) will start to think Golden is turning it aorund.

9 wins will be miraculous but it is fool's gold.
 
I've given up on another school taking this buster off our hands. Folden sucks and everyone with functioning neurons knows it.
 
Dont see us winning 9....our schedule has us playing the following: Nebraska (H), FAU, Cincinnati (A), Clemson, GTech, UVa, VT, Duke (A), FSU (A), UNC (A), Pitt (A). I have us losing to Nebraska, Clemson, GT, FSU for sure, and then at least 2 more from that group. VT, UNC, even Cincinnati could beat us. We aren't winning 9, no way. We also play either Toledo or Memphis and we'd probably win against either of them but we still would not win 9.
