So we finally offer Treon Harris as a QB.

I was really hoping that the blatant incompetence from this team was gone once we fired Shannon, sadly I was mistaken

We are no longer just flirting with incompetence, this is just absurd. Someone tell me this is just a bad/made up rumor, please..........
It's like my 12 year old nephew is playing Dynasty mode on NCAA right here.
This program is truly killing itself, we are falling on our own sword here, but in our case it's death by a butter knife.......

Treon has everything you want as a qb except ideal arm strength and size.

Instincts, accuracy, intangibles, mobility, touch, etc. Proved me wrong this year at the U school and Central game. Great football player. Would not be surprised if he stayed at qb.

To make this easy for everyone to understand:

If you applied for a CEO position and the company tells you, nah you're not qualified enough, but bring in two other candidates instead whom they feel are more qualified. Then another company hires you and the one that rejected you comes back and says, I think you are CEO material now.

Do you
A. Tell them thank you
B. Sign with them
C. Tell them to **** off cause its too little too late and you got a better opportunity and are planning on taking other talented people with you that the company that rejected you wanted as well.

Answer is C

If first company is Apple, while second company is Blackberry, you bet your a** I am taking option B. Does hometown Miami have an Apple like appeal to Treon???

Don't understand why this is a bad thing. We offered the kid long ago and now have offered him as QB. We have heard rumors about Olsen. It can be a simple as questions about Olsen are sufficient to make more room for another QB recruit. Al is acting consistant here. He does not want to only have one QB option like he was left when he got here. There will now be 3 freshmen competing with Williams this year and maybe Olsen. With Olsen in question, Harris now has better shot at being QB. Really, it would be him and Kaaya. Let's face it, there is a risk factor with Harris if he doesn't make QB. This lower the risk because numbers might have changed.

Sure a lot of us thought Harris should have been offered instead of the Bama kid, but that was Coley's pick. This might be Al inserting Ice's kid in to the game. That would make it a different outlook. Let's see what happens. If Harris flips, then this is a good move. If not, then maybe waste of time.

Company A which in this scenerio was Miami is nothing like Apple. If anything is closer to Enron.

Stop lying, Al Jr. Harris has never insisted on anything other than getting a "shot" to play QB. He was actually very open to the possibility that he might get moved at some point. He just wanted a shot.

Some of you Alpologists love to spread lies to try to excuse away the decisions that are so crazy that it looks like one of AlFAILfa's pillars fell and hit him in the head.

What have you been on lately. You used to be a somewhat reasonable poster. You've become a raving nutcase lately.

Nice response, dumb ****.

Yes, because juvenile nonsense like "AlFAILfa" and "Alpologists" along with your nonsensical ranting is much better.

How much does Diabeetus Gut Golden pay you?

Every time you write Diabeetus Gut I laugh hard.

I can't wait for him to throw for 700 yards against us, then throw up the U/throat slash

Really? You want that to happen?

Guess yours is broken?

Didn't read all of the astute posters in thread post, but what a dumb *** late decision.

This is the move that should have been done from the get go. Get him on your team, and give him a shot to play QB. Also keep in his ear at the same time. That while you are waiting. This team could really use you at "X" position.

Who knows this kid, not being the prototypical QB, may surprise everyone. This is college, not the NFL. Get the best players that you can on your squad, and figure the rest out later.

The only thing that complicated this was that it's Ice Harris' kid and therefore, if they felt they were getting a crap deal, it may have started a broader issue. For that, I understood shooting Treon straight and sticking to that plan. Except, now we've decided to go against that plan 1 month before signing day. I guess we can pray for the miracle that this somehow ends up as a positive thing. Maybe Treon really, really, really wants to stay home.

So he's Jeff Godfrey, as pretty much most astute observers have felt for a while now, until suddenly he became the GOAT QB in American history because he committed to FSU. Awesome.

I don't think it would become an issue. If you offer the kid what he wants, and you do your best to honor that. Treon is going to sit 2 years at FSU at the moment. Unless Winston jets after next season. He has a chance here. To get his shot most likely after Williams, and if he felt. He was given a real chance, and didn't win the job. He can get on with playing another position.

I am just saying, get the best players on your squad. If they are someone that wants to be a QB, but isn't the prototypical one. All you can do is allow him to compete, and then try to sway him.
