So we finally offer Treon Harris as a QB.

So then you think it would be better to go out and offer and take a 3rd QB from somewhere else, and STILL not offer Treon at QB? You think that would have sat better down in the So Fla scene?

What does a token offer this absurdly late in the game buy us? Nothing. People aren't stupid. Either the offer is insincere, or it shows gross incompetence.

Obvious to everyone.

It's a borderline insult.

It doesnt BUY us anything. It undercuts MORE b*tching, if we DO go out and offer another QB, and we STILL havent offered Treon. Those who are complaining now, will be screaming their HEADS off at how we "disrespected the local kid", and how we went out and took yet ANOTHER QB, and STILL never offered Treon, etc.... At least now we can say, "Look, we gave Treon the offer, before we went out to Kentucky or wherever, to offer this other kid".

You seem big on this mentality, e.g. the thread where Golden could say he never lied.

IT DOESN'T FOOL ANYONE.

People aren't idiots. They can read between the lines. This IS a sign of disrespect.

Offering Skai Moore on Signing Day Eve WAS a sign of disrespect. But at least we can say we offered.

And if we do sign some Plan C kid from Montana, it will not undercut any *****ing. I guarantee you that.

It's an absolute insult.

This kid committed to our top rival over the summer with an offer as a QB and we finally offer a mere month before signing day. It took the staff half a year since he committed to FSU to figure out he was worthy of a scholarship offer to play QB at Miami?

Lolz at anyone who thinks this is a good "political" move. Treon/Ice probably laughed at Coley or whoever the **** called with an offer to play QB.

Nah man. URITE. Golden is a moron. Total fool. SHould have just counted on Kirkland, let him punk us on NSD, toss our hat on the floor, and then you all would have lauded Golden for "sticking with Kirkland" for the good of community relations. Right? LOL

Kirkland pulling a hat trick wouldn't have been as bad as Ice Harris and other coaches slamming the school for yanking a kid's offer. Hat tricks happen. We handled that situation poorly. And if it was about numbers, why did we accept late commitments from Corn Elder and Derrick Griffin?

It was a mistake.

Maybe because we had extra spots open when certain kids didnt qualify, and the Kirkland spot, which we had counted him in, only to learn that he was not really committed to us at all?

LMAO, this is hilarious though. I remember last year, when EVERYONE was praising Golden for "not taking any more bullsh*t from these kids playing games with us", and how "tired of these kids jerking us around"...etc... Now EVERYONE here was against it from the start huh? Amazing. Amazing how so many people who disagreed with calling Kirkland out, stayed quiet last year, and how everyone's position has now changed. Now the answer to everything is just: Golden is stupid. Carry on.

I don't know about that. I've said for the longest that I felt like that situation could have been handled better, and as I've referenced numerous times on this board, I'd have to say Golden feels the same way and that's why he made the "I'm still understanding the dynamics of South Florida" comment. And just so we're clear, you don't have to be a complete moron to make a dumb move. There are many intelligent people that make stupid decisions depending upon the circumstances. As the saying goes, pressure.....................

How so? Treon is a project at QB. You don't offer a project until you know you've got a spot to spare, after you've built up your core class. You act as if he's some superstar QB that everyone is after.

Bernard was a top-notch back that made it very clear that he wanted to get out of the state. Harris is a project QB who has been insisting on being a QB even though it's highly unlikely he'll make it as one in any major college program.

Stop lying, Al Jr. Harris has never insisted on anything other than getting a "shot" to play QB. He was actually very open to the possibility that he might get moved at some point. He just wanted a shot.

Some of you Alpologists love to spread lies to try to excuse away the decisions that are so crazy that it looks like one of AlFAILfa's pillars fell and hit him in the head.

What have you been on lately. You used to be a somewhat reasonable poster. You've become a raving nutcase lately.

Nice response, dumb ****.

Yes, because juvenile nonsense like "AlFAILfa" and "Alpologists" along with your nonsensical ranting is much better.

How much does Diabeetus Gut Golden pay you?

I was fine if the staff didn't want to offer Treon because they had Rosier (even though I'm not crazy about him). I'm generally not a big fan of offering these "I wanna play QB in college" types that have no shot at making a significant impact at the position. In my mind, if there ever was a guy to move to defense or another position, it was ****er Flowers.

I posted a while back, that although I'd hate for it to happen... It wouldn't surprise me, if Kaaya decided to stay home, long after dumping Edouard, in which we ended up with a QB tht really can't help us.

Rosier will end up being Exibit A.

I didn't have a problem not offering Treon, but stick to your **** guns. Either he's right for your offense, or he isn't.

This late offer reeks of desperation and incompetence, IMO.

To make this easy for everyone to understand:

If you applied for a CEO position and the company tells you, nah you're not qualified enough, but bring in two other candidates instead whom they feel are more qualified. Then another company hires you and the one that rejected you comes back and says, I think you are CEO material now.

Do you
A. Tell them thank you
B. Sign with them
C. Tell them to **** off cause its too little too late and you got a better opportunity and are planning on taking other talented people with you that the company that rejected you wanted as well.

Answer is C
