SO NOBODY SEEN DIAZ TALKING TO MALIK ROSIER ON DA SIDELINES?

Diaz should worry more about his squad getting schooled by a frosh QB who's team was 4-6 and a offense that was ranked 98th.

No pressure at all today Diaz.
WE PLAYED A BASE DEFENSE ALL GAME HOPING THAT THE OFFENSE CAN PUT UP SOME POINTS SO WE COULD RUN DOWN HILL ON D... WE COULDN'T ****ING SCORE ON OFFENSE....

And the defense gave up 345 yards, forced 2 turnovers and 24 points (17 until they were dog tired because they were out there for almost 2/3 of the game because the offense couldn't stay on the field).

That may be the case but they were running over our guys too many times period. It is concerning, especially since uva did whatever they wanting against us but had less than 200 yards total 0 points against va tech at home. Unc performance with their 3rd strong qb and all of those injuries, pitt with a 3rd string qb getting easy stuff. We’ve been good for most of the season but no doubt we have had some concerning performance on both sides of the ball that’s for sure. Will say the offense definitely didn’t help the defense this game. We had enough opportunities and we sh*t the bed

I didn't say they played well, but they were, in no way, the reason we lost.

Part of it though. The dline didn’t show up like how they usually do and wasn’t winning matchups. This loss is definitely mostly on Rosier for missing vital throws though

ITS SAD B/C THE DEFENSE TOLD ROSIER TO JUST SCORE 21 **** POINTS AND WE'LL WIN THE GAME.. I SEE WHY GEORGIA FANS WERE ****ED OFFED ABOUT RICHT RUNNING THE OFFENSE..
God morons like this saying richts fault in a thread acknowledging that Rosier played miserably
7 **** points in the 3rd with the Playoffs on the line and we're losing to a 4-7 team..

40% Rosier
50% Richt
10% our sorry *** punter

How did you come up with those percentages? It seems confusing there were men open all day, so Richt's playing was ok, but Malik missed wide open receivers all day. So how does this argument equate?

He quit, and had the stones to say as much himself...The winning made him numb and he lost his will to compete.

Rosier finished the game 15-of-34 for 187 yards and two touchdowns.

“A lot of it starts with me,” Rosier said. “I missed multiple receivers and that is something I have to fix and have thick skin. It can’t happen next week. The big thing is to just learn from this experience. There are multiple times where we play lackadaisical in the first half and in the second half we come out and explode. That just didn’t happen this week. That is something I have to fix and motivate those guys in the first half so that the second half doesn’t have to be a miracle.”

When Rosier was pulled from the game, he admits he wasn’t surprised.

“I knew that if I kept making mistakes, I was going to get pulled,” Rosier said. “He wound up pulling me. I felt like it was one of those moments as a starter where I haven’t lost yet and I guess I got complacent. I was just out there to be out there. I was just going through my reads and not dialing in and focusing on every snap. After that, it put the football game in perspective that at any moment I could get pulled.”

Even though Rosier knew his poor play could lead to him getting benched, the quarterback admits that the move still hurt when he had to watch Evan Shirreffs lead the offense for a drive with the Hurricanes down 17-7.

“It hurts,” Rosier said. “I had a lot of guys walk up to me and tell me that I was fine. It was hard not to get emotional because these were the guys that I had been with for four years now. The fact that I got pulled put football in perspective for me.

After Shirreffs went 0-for-2 and took a sack, Rosier asked if he could go back in as the quarterback to try and engineer a comeback.

“[Coach Richt] pulled me, then he said we are going to put you back in, and then he said no we are going to keep Evan in, and after the first drive that Evan had, I came up to him and told him I wanted a chance to lead this team back,” Rosier said. “These are my guys and he told me that I would have to wait until next week. Later on, he put me back in…That was big. Once Richt told me that I could go back in, I knew that they still had trust in me and still had faith in me. That was big.”

When Rosier came back into the game as the quarterback, he led the Hurricanes a two play, 66-yard touchdown drive that took 41-seconds and cut into Pittsburgh’s lead, 24-14.

“That drive is how the whole game should have been,” Rosier said. “[Pitt] didn’t really mix their coverages and throughout the game, I didn’t hit the open receivers. We can’t wait that long to drive down the field, especially against a team like Clemson. They are a great defense and they are not going to give you those opportunities.”

Following the game, Richt tweeted that Rosier would be the starting quarterback in the ACC Championship Game against Clemson. Rosier believes that the Clemson game can serve as a wake up call for himself and the rest of the offense.

This week, I have to push the tempo and talk more to the guys,” Rosier said. “If we have dropped balls, I have to tell them hey, lets repeat the play. I have to take charge and take control of this team. If I don’t, we might have the same result and that would be bad.”

You can't coach around someone who quits and isn't competing; especially at the QB position with our depth. Good to read the posts and see who knows what they're looking at.

End this nonsensical thread.

How did Rosier ever even get on this team, was he that good in hs, he has NEVER looked good to me, and neither did Kaaya. The last good QB we had was KD I think, I forget, who came after him. And why don't we take snaps under center, we are a shotgun team and that's soooo not Miami

Brock Berlin was after KD, and he's always been one of my favorite QBs.

Guy was underrated, if we had Reggie and Santana at WR when he was playing, he would have looked a lot better. Got disrespected because he didn't lead UM to championships, but that win vs the Gators in '03 was something I'll always remember.

Only reason I downvote this post is cause u gave brock excuses. Sorry.... He had enough to get to the chip that yr. I don't remmeber dropped passes leading to picks... I just remember him throwing to the other teams like he was color blind. If brock played like he did in 2004 during the 2003 year.... We go undefeated and win the chip vs osu, ok, and **** sure usc. IL never say brock was weak, cause he was talented.... That 03 season was all on him. He had one of the greatest Miami defenses that yr and **** he had Kellen Winslow the yr he won the Mackey award.

I don't really disagree. But throwing to Kevin Beard, Jason Geathers and Roscoe isn't even in the same ballpark as throwing to Reggie and Santana, or AJ the year before.

Brock also had to deal with Gore going down and Jarrett Payton being our feature back the rest of the way in 03. It's not giving Brock excuses, Cane fans ripped on the guy like he was a demon spawn but all the offensive expectations fell on him after AJ left early and Gore went down. Just providing some context.

A lot of pressure for the guy, he couldn't handle it. The '03 season absolutely was all on him.

Like you said though, he was a lot better in '04. And he swept FSU and UF in his time as a Cane. That counts for something in my book.

I feel u on his targets... They were not on the level years before... But still like i said earlier.... Most of his picks were horrible. Like if he would of thrown the ball away most of the time, we would have won the vt game and the tenn game. But like u said, he beat fsu and fla twice.... I don't hate dude, but he did cost us 1 chip

Georgia fans didn’t want him to give up play calling. His best years at Georgia we’re when he was calling plays. Most did not want him to give it up.

Exactly. How can you take up for what he just admitted too. High school players have more guts and determination when chasing a state championship....

And what the *** do you mean you don’t really talk to your receivers or whatever was his exact quote. Maybe that’s why when you tried that back shoulder throw to AR Saturday he never turned to look for it, or why you keep throwing jump balls to JT instead putting it out in front and letting him run it down. I see Berrios giving him hand signals all the time so I’m sure they have chemistry their.

I hope Chad or Pinck got in his **** after hearing this. A teammate holding him accountable will do more then father Richt saying he is disappointed.....
