Can someone in the know help explain some things?

These players are vying for a shot at the NFL. Their time here at college is a tryout for the NFL. Why dont they man up and confront the coaches. Apparently Brashard Smith did. They arent Bama caliber players but they are being asked to do the impossible.

If I was a good scholarship player here, I would demand a meeting with Mario and/or the coaches to figure out why we're running this garbage offense.
To try to figure out why good players like Young are ghosts until game 5. (Who else is being held out and why?)
To figure out why were playing out of condensed formations.
To figure out why tempo is so slow.
To figure out why we're still trying to run the ball.
To ask why we rotate so much.
TO ASK WHY WE'RE RUNNING DOWN 3 SCORES WITH 8 MINUTES LEFT?

MARIO SAID IT TWICE TODAY. At halftime and post game. "We have to try to establish the run." WHY THE **** IS THIS SO IMPORTANT TO HIM?

Do none of these other coaches care either? Does Charlie Strong think this is acceptable? Does Jason Taylor? Is Ed Orgeron not in Mario's ear? Why are they not calling this ineptitude out?

Why is Mario not being a disciplinarian? We saw him go off on Kinchens in game 1 and not at all since. Players continue to do the same dumb ****. Refuse to tackle. Refuse to block. Refuse to hold on to the ball, but they stay in the game. We saw him almost cry against MTSU, and since hes emotionless on the sidelines every game. Just standing there staring at whatever. Whats the deal?

How are more players not furious? If Im Jacurri Brown I would be. You ask me to be some wildcat RB/QB on 4th and short but put Jake Garcia in to throw the 3 WORST INTERCEPTIONS IN PROGRAM HISTORY and lose 2 CIRCUS FUMBLES. Those picks are legitimately worthy of investigating the QB for trying to throw the game. Thats how egregiously bad they were. (I dont think this was sabotage but Jesus Christ). I guarantee **** be marched out there to start against UVA, and Brown will be brought in to get stuffed out of the Wildcat.

How is Zion allowed to be on scholarship and get NIL deals while holding himself out?

WHY ARE SO **** MANY PLAYERS INJURED, and why are players out without anyone hearing about it?

This team leaves me with so many god**** unanswered questions because NOTHING MAKES SENSE.

Zion thinks because he had one good year he could sit out and be soft as ****. He needs to remember he was the worst OL in the country in 2019. He needs all the film he could get to put out there for scouts, GM’s, coaches.

Valid points and questions. I'm sorry, but I cannot help you with your concerns. My brain still hurts from thinking about this team. It's basically mush at this point after what the past 15 years have done.

I mean sure……for starters when you’re as inconsistent with the fundamentals of the game as players on this team are you’ll think a lot of things you’re asked to execute (if not all things) seem impossible.

Do you really want to know why balance on offense is important or are you just asking out of frustration?? I mean I can see being frustrated about spacing, pace, or situational calls but when you do nothing at a truly elite level you need to keep defenses honest if you want any type of consistency.

For anything good or bad Garcia did it’s really difficult to make a clear assessment when you’re asking him to come into a game with a plan designed for a QB with a different skill set and strengths. Without appropriate opponent prep during the week and first team reps you’re already asking a lot out of a player in an unplanned situation. You absolutely need contingency plans as coaches for sudden change moments, and it’s the responsibility of the back up to know his role and what could happen. With that said the coaches better either know Garcia is the starter and prep that way or have a legit plan in place to appropriate Garcia and Brown’s strengths.

Mario can be a disciplinarian but in year one what other options can he go to that would honestly change the circumstances for the better? At this point I think you have to evaluate for the future of the program to make serious decisions on upcoming roster and coaching turnover. Moments like this show character, resolve, and who’s serious about their craft. Mario is going to need more of that if this is going to be rebuilt successfully. He’s also going to need to look in the mirror about his future hires and his ability to adjust to how the game has evolved.

There are details I don't agree with in OP's post, but I get the general premise here. It's confusing as **** to watch the program right now.

That feels like it was so long ago. Back when everyone was all hyped up on that pre-season juju before the board was turned over to the mopes for the season.
