Yes we lost two heartbreakers In a row. yes we should have won both of them. Yes we should have stopped them on 4th and f**king 17. Yes we’ve had too many games to **** count like this to deal with for the past decade. But Jesus have some optimism, Jarren will be the truth. Heck thats the best performance by a Miami QB in who knows how long. Like for once I had confidence that we wouldn’t lose the game over a mistake our QB made. Manny will right the defense and make the necessary changes to have us ball out in the future. And We’ll get a kicker who can make a 25 yard field goal but that might be asking too much. This season is probably not gonna be pretty but we’re gonna get real hot at some point. I see us getting to 8 with two more heartbreakers like tonight, win our bowl game, and right the **** ship next year

Agree with OP that despite the numerous self inflicted wounds, there are some very positive signs going forward.

We absolutely, positively found a QB to lead us for the next 3-4 years and our extremely young OL looked worlds better than in game zero. IMO they will continue to improve. Young DEs also produced good pressure and Jordan is the absolute truth for the next two years. Pope and Cam are also stepping up. This team has also been very resilient, coming back from getting punched in the mouth and completely controlling the game until that mind blowing 4th and 17.

But our DBs didn't play well, our interior DL couldn't get push, safety is young and razor thin and Baxa is a major, major problem.

We have the talent to run the table. But I question the ability to stop self destruction since it's all we've seen so far this season.

NC is a team that won 2 games last year. I don’t care if Vince Lombardi came back to coach them it’s exhausting already.
 
I am tired of being the laughing stock of college football. Been going on for what 18 years? Can someone tell me how Alabama and Clemson continue to be the best, year after year?

At zone some point we have to deal with reality and not projections. It's these same projections that dubbed the three linebackers the Bermuda triangle.

So with that said I'm not sold on JW yet. He will do well against mediocre defenses. When he plays an above average defense where there are tighter windows he will revert back to the UF game (maybe he throws it away more) and hold onto the ball.

He is not confident in the routes and waits until he sees the receiver open. What a waste last year was. Howell looked like a rs freshman.

I like his accuracy though which you can't teach. Hope it's a lack of experience that's causing the lack of trust but I'm not doing any more projections for greatness for anyone on this team.

It's like y'all forget about the Stacey cooleys. Maybe I'll give Brevin an exemption as a player I can project to be great because he's actually proved it with his actual play and has a good sample size.

Great post. Lots of fans here get amnesia after every season and forget how bad we were last year. Fans Just expect to be 2001 team because “we’re Miami”. We ain’t been Miami in 20 years. Stop playing yourselves. If Manny doesn’t lose the locker room, I expect this team to get better as the year goes on. Physically team looks like night and day from last year. Very young team with 2 games on road to start. Could have used a few cup cakes to start and get our feet wet. I’m usually as pessimistic as any fan, but this season we were never going to be acc title or playoff like most delusional fans here think. Looking for improvement throughout the year.

Maybe your expectations are out of whack? We have lost 7 of our last 9 games prior to this seasons start. Maybe it’s you (and this dumbass fan base) expectations that every team is 2001 just cause we’re Miami !!!!!!!
