So let me get this straight

Was anyone thinking that if we could have got the ball inside the 10 on the last drive that we would see a Toney jet sweep pass to Daniels? It would have been a contested catch given the field compression, and I am sure IU would have been thinking it...Would have been a sight to see for all the glory.........

That first half, did you know what most of our plays were?

Coaches have systems and tendencies, very rarely deviating from them. Both schools went into that game doing what got them there. Neither went away from what worked to that point in the season until they had to.

Mario wanted to run over them. They knew that, we knew that, but I was hopeful we'd come up with a strategy to counter what they do from snap one. We didn't, it cost us, and at the half we made adjustments.

In closing, you didn't need our playbook, you just needed film on us. So again, did you know our plays when we lined up?
It Just seemed like it …you’re probably 100% right and they diagnosed everything off tendencies early perfectly..just seemed odd how their defense seemed to know what was coming 90% of the time and only folded do to the inability to stop certain things from teams with superior talent like the outside runs we were killing them with..& not just talking about our game but all year, they were only in trouble against strong defensive teams with a running game because that’s where talent discrepancies show the most.. but you’re right our coaches should’ve had them off tackle runs cooking from the jump.

You could also hack the cloud server that hosts your opponents hudl from game prep, have your GAs and analysts break it down, practice 40 minutes a day, and call it a national championship winning season

But if Bauman blocks his guy; who cares. If we play a cleaner game; hackers be damned

And that’s how good we were. We were one block and one pass from beating those cheating *****.

You guys are over thinking this. Most linebackers will tell you that you can pick up what a team is running based on splits, body language, and have an understanding of their tendencies when it comes to the run game.

Cici is laughing in part because Disco is a stupid dumby call which he realized after the fact. The calls almost always have a L or R in the name like CiCi said.

If they really wanted to do a dumby call the L / R should have been based on places vs everything else

Louisiana, Lauderdale, Lincoln, New York, Richmond, etc Real Call to signal direction

Oklahoma, Oregon = outside zone
Indiana, Idaho = inside zone

Leader, leopard, rhino, rizzler - Fake call.
Orca, otter, iguana ~ fake calls.

Then at halftime you switch it up where places become fake call and animals / everything else becomes real.

QB comes to line with center and calls out Louisiana Otter, Leader, Oregon = outside zone Left
Had a guy leave our staff and go to a rival team's staff. Our Q made our calls to the OL at the LOS
Brown = Down, Red = Dead, Stanford = Split Zone, etc. WR/RB/TE got the calls in hand signals.

1- To prep for that guy stealing signals, I signaled the live call 1 quarter, the backup QB another, and the JV QB another. We had both QB's live and I was the dummy in Q4

2- We went to a sugar huddle (OL's back is at the ball on LOS and they just turn after the play call) vs making the call at the LOS every time.

3- We added a new dead call- instead of just red now orange was also dead. Got them to jump multiple times for a free 1st down.

They pick 6'd one double screen that looked like they were tipped to the play. Other than that our team of slaps beat a team with multiple P4 players on defense. 302 yards passing, 110 yards rushing, 4 TD's, one turnover. ZERO scholarship players on offense
