Him and Blades were the foundation of WRU...check Eddie's numbers in 83 and 84. And he made SOOOO many key plays in that national title run. Also, he had the first 1,000 yard receiving season in 84 (Andre Johnson had the second one in 2002)
Brown had a special burst and gear. Also, his YAC ability was unparalleled
He was the man. Incredible playerReggie Wayne
Andre KingAnother fun list would be brainstorming underrated Cane WRs.

People forget that there were no air-raid passing attacks at UM (college in general) and "Downtown Eddie Brown" was putting up numbers in a traditional offense...
Dude was special...

So was I...the game he had vs Bo Jackson's Auburn team was incredible. I was just a kid watching in LA and I was in awe of what 40 was doing all night
The SkyCast is a great way to watch a game. Unfortunately, the version that was labeled “Miami Radio” seemed to bounce back and forth between Joe Z’s call and the A&M broadcast, and at incredibly different volume levels. Not sure if that was just for me, can’t see how that would the case but who knows. Watching SkyCast with just the stadium audio is pretty great though.of the game on Saturday. For those who aren't aware of what that is, its basically an alternate broadcast that shows the elevated endzone view from up close. It really is a new perspective on the game...
I just got finished with the first half and it's clear that the wind impacted Carson Beck and Carter Davis. Beck's throws to Trader on the go-route, the key 3rd down conversion to Daniels (which was actually complete as Daniels made a nice adjustment to the ball) and later on the fade to him, all those passes swerved as the passes got into the wind.
And they all had the same path (like a Fernando Valenzuela screwball) as Davis' kicks to that particular side of the field(where section 131 was with many of the UM fans). Some of Marcel Reed's passes fluttered and were impacted by the breeze
But yeah, will watch the second half later. For anyone that wants to see this game from this perspective, just go on the ESPN app, or ESPN Watch, and go to schedule and hit the tab for replay and go to 'Saturday Dec 20th) and you'll see all the options listed. I chose the SkyCast with the UM radio announcers

It gave me another perspective on how ridiculous this defense is. I couldn’t imagine trying to throw on it. Their qb was getting his entire universe closed in 2 seconds.of the game on Saturday. Immediately, Charleston Rambo comes to mind. Outside of X and A.R., he had one of the better seasons I can remember in recent Cane history.
Unfortunately, we only had him one year, and that 2021 team didn’t accomplish much so I feel like people forget about him. But he was a 50-50 ball wizard.
Who would Toney supplant? Eddie Brown?
How windy was it outside of the stadium? That big of a stadium and no open ends, I was honestly surprised how much wind there was down at field level.

Phenomenal motor, an extreme willingness to throw his body around, and pretty good eyes.you know who really flashed -- and is really starting to excel in his role -- is Marquis Lightfoot. They aren't asking him to be a 3-down player just, yet, but he had some really good reps on Saturday.
