So I had a shared Lyft ride with a Pro Coach ...

The 49ers offense seemed limited by Jimmy G at QB and Samuel as the only true playmaker. Got to give McDaniel (and Shanahan) credit for getting what they could.

I’m not a Fins fan (Go Bucs!) but they seem on the right path to try and build around Tua.

Now just hope Ross sells the team. To Ruiz. :)

He’s right on about Golden. Guy’s plan was to come in here, put together some 8-4/9-3 seasons, and get picked up by Penn State. The guy was within a hair of making it all work, but Penn State backed out at the last minute.

Also, wouldn’t surprise me if Golden tried to make it work again. Being DC at Notre Dame, he’s waiting for Franklin’s eventual dismissal to take another stab at his dream job.
Good for PSU,.. he can *** up that program. If Manny already didn’t. Two douchebags in the middle of Pennsylvania, perfect.

In what universe is Kyle Shanahans offense ***?
28-3 as an OC still haunting him imo.

They're not really elite at anything. They scored like 4 offensive TD's in the playoffs. They play line em up, hat on hat physical football. It works. I picked them to make a Super Bowl run last season right here on this board. But they're moving on from their QB for a reason.

Upvoted for the tidbit about Al Folden...

I don’t think our fans really understand how awful that dude was & the damage he did to the program.
I’d like to know more, I thought he had a chance to be a guy at first and the realized he was like a used car salesman.

Mcdaniel is a really good communicator as well. Just watching his halftime interview he was trying to put things in a way that everybody at home would understand and it was just the same old halftime questions you always here. Really excited for him.

Gattis will be a NFL coach. I don't think he stays in college. His coaching mentality is like NFL coaches where he tries to exploit matchups more than thinking all you need to do is run his scheme to perfection to be successful

Thank you for sharing.

Interesting regarding Gattis. We have heard the, "held him back," assertion regarding QB/OC and Coordinator/HC and it is usually proven incorrect.

Herbert is an interesting data point that Cristobal should be deadset on proving wrong. He should have been featured in that offense a lot more.

We will see right out of the gate in how he calls the game for TVD. He put a lot of good on film last season.

Harbaugh being completely creepy is a guaranteed 80% factor regardless.
