Saw on WEZ that Herman is getting a raise to $3,000,000 by Houston.

I guess that leaves **** Mario.

Well, that's Shula, someone else, and now Herman off the list.

I understand Meyer and Saban have twisted and turned in agony over this great opportunity, but decided to hold pat.

Gary Patterson is holding in place at TCU. Chip Kelly apparently doing double work at the Eagles and in the middle of a project.

Charlie Strong is playing UM as his safety net if he gets fired at Texas, Texas is ****ed like UM was when we found out our Head Coach was putting out feelers with PSU, and Texas booster are waiting to offer Saban big time money to come to Texas.

UM is consulting former players, which previously gave us Clappy and Radar - so it's not like they know ****.

Looking more like that useless piece of **** Mario is the only thing left.

Good play by him. He's a smart dude - he's holding out for a top notch job.

We won't hire Mario. No chance.

This is the first of many crying gifs for the search. When they pass on Butch, Fuente, Etc and hire Mario there will be more of these gifs to come

Paul's plan has worked perfectly. Now it is just the determination that Mario is nowhere near qualified and Butch is far and away the best "available" option. Mario is just out there being Cuban. Butch is moving in shortly.

Also prudent to strike while you're hot. A stumble or two next year in Houston and he's no longer the talk of every CFB team with an opening.

Nobody will give a **** about the team if Mario's hired, so that's what is most likely to happen.

I fail to see how this prevents us from hiring him. He's in the American conference. He's going to leave that conference. This season. Pay him and you can have him. The chicken littles on this site are reeeeallly pathetic.

Wow. Just takes more money, huh?

So we get Herman, next year Texas offers Herman $5-6,000,000, and he's gone again.

Per your scenario.

If you think our BOT is going to get into a bidding war over an HC, you are very mistaken. They didn't do it for Butch, who had, in 2000, a record of 11-2, and a #2 ranking.

Davis takes reins as Browns coach - Chicago Tribune

1-30-2001

Davis, 49, was announced at a morning news conference at Cleveland's training facilities and excitedly talked about his future with the Browns, where he signed a five-year contract worth about $15 million and replaces Chris Palmer, who was fired after going 5-27 in his first two seasons.

Davis bolted UM on Monday after he made assurances for the last two months that he would remain the Hurricanes coach. He also was in the middle of renegotiating a five-year contract extension at UM that would have been worth about $8 million.

Policy continued to have discussions with Davis' agent, Marvin Demoff. Late last week, when it appeared contract renegotiations at UM began to bog down, Demoff told Policy there might be a “glimmer of interest” from Davis.

I am sorry, but who wouldn't leave for an offer that is $7 million more over 5 years? Basically double your salary.

Either way let's not get Butch leaving any reason to even bring up Mario. I'm sick this guy is even being considered. Coley will prob get picked up by Bama when he leaves and Bama wont bat an eye. This "recruiting guru" won't be missed and we will be in eternal agony.
