Jonathan Smith is **** coach/game planner/play caller.
Miles better than Norvell.
Miles better than Norvell.
I am confident that Ward’s passing game will improve because of Martinez while Martinez’ ground game will improve because of Ward’s passing game. They reinforce each other. The question is are they gelled enough to deliver on Saturday?
Yep win on the margins is key on the road, special teams stay clean on returns, make fgs, no turnovers, limit penalties, field position, close each half wellI am pretty confident we have the better lines and QB. Normally, that’s a winning formula. Just don’t turn the ball over. First games of the year are generally sloppy, but they don’t have to be. Neither team yesterday had a turnover. GT only put the ball on the ground once, iirc. FSU only had 1 penalty. GT only had 3.
Go out and play like you’re well-coached and disciplined. If that happens, we have a great chance. If we beat ourselves, it’s going to be a long day.
If u keep a 6th olineman but listed as a te in line, then bring your slot in line also this is what happens lolJust going to leave this here when we talk about Miami OL

What happens when you have a QB that checks out the run at LOS?If u keep a 6th olineman but listed as a te in line, then bring your slot in line also this is what happens lol
We'll see in 6 days. What happens when you have a QB that checks out the run at LOS?
I've seen many here ignorant to the fact that they had one of the better OL in the country.
I saw GT bringing safeties down that were constantly shooting the gaps
Yet still averaging 5.1 yards per carry. Tough sledding. Makes me very hopeful about what a balanced attack can do.Just going to leave this here when we talk about Miami OL

#9 sorta invalidates the whole list
I think Martinez will have a better year strictly due to not having DJU at qb, but yeah, honestly outside of qb that entire offense was stacked. Two **** good backs, a top 10 OL, at receiver they had a guy go 5th round and another who’s at Texas now and pretty sure I’ve seen good reviews on what he’s doing there in Silas Bolden, and a tight end that followed Smith to Michigan State and was more than solid. FSU fans (and really most fans since people don’t watch west coast) talked themselves into DJU going to a better situation but I’d take Oregon State’s personnel last year over FSU this year.Oregon St had a really good OL.
Cohen's blocking sprung several runs last season.Their OL was good but Martinez is a great runner. I've been watching a lot of his games from last year, a lot of those yards he got on his own improvising with cutbacks etc. Excellent vision, patience and timing to go with all the power and speed. Don't know if we have a better OL, but I think he'll do better here. Maybe even a crazy season nobody sees coming.
6 more days...
Sounds like an indictment to our coaching staff for ramming the ball into an 8 man box lolJust going to leave this here when we talk about Miami OL

Lee's blocking gave RBs and QB time.
Can Miami at least replicate those two missing pieces??
