Just my opinion...so happy we gonna be pro style...UH offense does nothing for me...I like the Temple Qb and offense better

A pro style, run and shoot, fun and gun, some forms of air raid all similar today...the OSU, UH, Arizonas is really A modern version of Paul Johnsons GT offense...eeeew
 
Herman would have been cool but we are in no position to mess this thing up anymore than it already is. Needed a vet like Richt opposed to a dude with 1 hear of HC experience.

That's still pro style. Almost all pro teams have spread elements now. I'd actually like to see Richt's offense push the ball down the field a bit more. We'll see if it was an issue of who was calling plays.
 
I suspect, as Herman showed at OSU last year, he is working with what he's got. I was, and still am, very impressed with what he did to move from the Braxton (Urban) offense to the Cardale model. Those were different animals.

I am not in love with the Richt hire, but I don't hate it and recognize that he brings an immediate name and credibility. I hope Richt is much more cut-throat than I give him credit for and that he proves me wildly wrong.

I am confident that Herman will be big time down the road. It looks like he is sure of that too, as he seemed pretty picky about opportunities to jump from Houston this year.
 
Very happy with the Richt hire, but questioning Herman when he's up double digits in the 4th quarter of the AAC Championship Game and about to improve to 12-1 in his first year as a coach is pretty odd.

I could be wrong but didn't John O'Korn transfer because of the Herman offense style...anyways Korn is where pro style should always be the norm, Michigan, much like Miami.

Like Richt alot but Herman just got the first of many gatorade baths in his career.
 
I don't get why people care so much about having a "Pro Style" offense. It's really just semantics at this point. All I want in an offense is one that scores a lot of points. Thats it.
 
I love the richt hire but would've been just as happy with Herman, I feel like that guys going to be a super star.
 
Whatever he does, we will have the talent to score points. What matters is what defense and DC he chooses.

Aesthetics. If you're spending 3 hours 12 Saturdays a week watching a team you might as well hope they run a system you enjoy watching.

If they're scoring a lot, and winning (most of the time), you'll enjoy watching.

As LuCane said above, almost all pro teams have spread elements now, it´s a fact. And Hermanator is recruiting a kid (commited) who is pro style QB for next season. HE knows what it takes to win big.

Herman will dominate CFB when he goes to a powerhouse... no doubt about it.

For Hermans sake, I hope he keeps that thing running because he passed up a boatload of opportunity this year. Personally, I don't think it was very shrewd of him but time will tell who's right.

Herman just wasn't ready for a big time job. If he was he would have been hired or atleast interviewed. He will probably be a hot commodity next year or year after if he keeps up the good work.
 
Smh Herman is not on any level where he was even in consideration for the job except to the delusional Herman lovers on this board
