So dental work for Coley is the excuse

Coley's played scared since he got blasted in the Louisville game. Never recovered from that hit.

Also, who's teaching him his route tree and who is designing plays for him?

Maybe that is why he needed dental surgery--helmet removal. I use to like Carrol but that crap sounds like it came out of Al's mouth.

I think Kaaya stopped looking for him, except on bubble screens. He overthrew Coley once early on, and Coley dropped a huge gainer that Kaaya put on his numbers on the sideline, and Kaaya just said "ah, forget it."

In the practices leading up to Cincy, Brad and Stacey was like watching the Blue Man Group. Those two were absolutely killing it. Stacey is a bad man from what I've seen in person. Why his numbers are what they are? I have no clue.

I think the bizarre, random, constant shuffling of receivers doesn't help anybody's rhythm. That's another problem I have with Folden...the participation ribbon mentality where everyone needs to get a certain amount of plays. I can probably count on one hand the number of plays Dorsett, Coley and Herb were on the field together this year.

This is accurate. Our staff is so dedicated to making sure that everyone earns their letterman's jacket they forget that they are actually there to win games!

Ride your horses!

This is applicable for multiple positions. We're trying to play 50 kids every game, then gripe about not having the depth to do it.

If our current depth means we should only be playing 35-40 kids, so be it. Go hard with your best, and give the other kids a chance to develop without it hurting the team on the field. It's not as if our guys were gassed. And if they were, that's on conditioning.

I thought the snaps Berrios and Brady got were wasted snaps. We should have just gone with Dorsett, Coley, Waters, Lewis, and Jones. Lewis in the slot, with Waters and Jones on the outside. Coley and Dorsett should have played both.

"Leadership" at UM continues to let the excuses fly and allows the staff to buy their own BS. Tells us all we need to know

A reliable source (lol) told me that an ingrown toenail was the cause of Standish Dobard's fumble in the FSU game! Go figure!

This whole season was due to cosmetic situations.

Excuses gone excuse!

Dorsett was hurt last year, and those passes went to Coley. I'm not defending anyone, just stating the fact Coley had more passes thrown to him because Dorsett was out. Let me ask you this. If Dorsett would have gotten hurt and been out THIS season, would Coley have had more passes thrown his way? Also, we had other injuries at WR last year as well, forcing Coley into a more prominent role LAST year. I don't understand how everything that doesn't blame the coaches means defending them. I know it's the lemur thing to do, but I prefer to look at ALL reasons, not just "Al sucks". Golden lost me with the Virginia loss, so don't think I'm defending him.
I know this might surprise some people, but part of his drop off at WR has to do with not being the #1 option this year. That doesn't explain his terrible returns, though.

Allen Hurns?

Goldenbots gunna goldenbot.

**** this team is straight

Thanks Al!!

Did Herb Waters have dental surgery too? Because it seemed like whenever he made a big play he got benched for Berrios or Lewis.

Coley had a couple drops on deep balls but it has to be frustrating only running bubble screens

they play 100 wrs a game...guys like tyre Brady wasted a year of elgibility out there running clear out routes.....
I was mistified how Herb Waters got little action as the dude looked money in the spring....definately think he griped about it.

These coaches are silly they honestly think they are at temple..and every game play guyus a certain number of plays..and state and gloat about how much guys played in a game like it was some moral victory...meanwhile guys arent getting in a rhythym...i mean how the f do you play that clown at fullback to start the year...and actually used #44 in single back formations during the spring..and he looked productive...and didnt do it ONE TIME the whole season....

I mean these guys arew the smartest/dumb guys in the bulding...and you better not question them..*sarcasm* had college coaches like golden and comp before..talked a good game...couldnt question their philosophy or scheme..and when the bullets flew in game situations and we took losses...blamed the players.

Coley sucks for a lot of reasons, but not being the first option doesn't make sense.

Congrats on seeing the light with Golden after 4 years. You've said that after every loss for the last 24 months, but maybe it's a Christmas miracle this time.
