Miami hammered UNC, took care of business at home. But I dunno, that second half was tough to watch. Good news is that it's clear N'kosi Perry is now the starter at QB. Bottom line, every week the offense has to be expanded and you have let this kid grow into the job. He'll make mistakes(and he needs to do a better job in protecting the ball) but he gives this offense certain dimensions that Rosier could never give ou

- but that second half, geez, I mean, yeah I dont want to ***** and moan too much about a 47-10 victory but the way I look at it A) UNC is awful. For their fan base it's already hoops season. B) you want to keep creating momentum going into a rivalry game and C) You want to keep a certain level of play.

that's what the great teams do, that's what the elite coaches stress. Well, I would love to hear how Richt approaches this team in the post-game speech. If he's that guy to lead this program to a title, he's not happy about this game. Sorry, it was a **** show in the 3rd quarter vs a very bad team. Richt is a fine man, a good person - but gimme a red-*** like Saban who treat every play as if it's tied and stay on their players. Richt, simply doesn't give off that vibe. There's a reason why UGA wanted to bring in Smart - they knew Richt was limited in these areas. It truly is the little things that matter over a course of time

Yeah, I may be a tad harsh here but hey, that's how I feel, I hope Im proven wrong. But there was a chance to really keep building on a pretty good first half and they just laid an egg till UNC just gave up

- On the defense, this is the truth about Diaz - his units will always have a boom or bust quality to it. We as a fan base will just have to live with that. tonight, versus a putrid team it was very opportunistic. But against sounder squads, you wonder how long you can sustain this. At times they were swarming and really disrupting things, other times they couldn't set the edge, at all. Again, it's hit-or-miss with this unit

- Joe Jax played a very good game and Willis is the ultimate 'Trench Bully'(been the best player on this team in 18)

- Hey, can we give credit to Mike Smith, guy is flashing a lot and he's making plays out there. Honestly, he plays faster than our starting backers, as Gogeta4 mentioned

- Ahmonn Redshirt continues to look good on the sidelines in his sweatpants and jersey. OK, I kid, I kid, but is he ever going to play again? It's imperative that he and Jacquan Johnson are ready to go moving forward. But there comes a point where Richards just may not be a factor this season.

- Jeff Thomas I think had one target today. Yeah, this has to change versus the better teams. This is why Richt cant coach scared with Perry because if he does, 'the Jet'(who is Miami's most dangerous weapon) will be grounded. But it's good to see Mike Harley making plays, he and Perry already have a nice chemistry.

- One last thing that bugs me( I swear) can Richt and Searles just get the best 5 Olineman out there and run with them? Certain guys are a liability and you don't have to Alex Gibbs to figure that out.

- Deejay Dallas is our best RB, this is no knock on Homer. But Dallas has better vision, feet and the ability to run through tacklers. I've always felt that Homer was better as a 2nd back who gashes tired defenses late in games. I get the sense Richt should be leaning more on Dallas early in games, guy just consistently moves the chains.

- Anyway thats it, yeah, Im a bit bothered by that 3rd quarter. But hey, what do they say about winning? It beats losing. Now, they get extra prep time for FSU at home.

We’re not a great team and Richt isn’t an elite coach

Why the **** people act like that changes from game to game blows my mind

Just enjoy it an quit *****ing

Being brutally honest if you want us to be elite this wasn’t a great game. I was at the game and totally agree with your assemesment

I was behind Diaz granted we had 6 turnovers mbut it still felt like we were beat on very vanilla plays and we looked suspectible. Like you pointed out I don’t know how his feast or famine defense would work against a decent team.

Being brutally truthful again our oline looks like dog schit if you want to be upper echelon of cfb.

Literally everything you said I reciprocate .. that second half was very vey weak and it doesn’t give me confidence going forward but then again I don’t see teams that strike fear into me but there’s no excuse we shouldn’t run the table
can’t beleive anyone would say our oline looked like dogsh*t compared to the way we blocked tonight vs how we blocked unc last year.... Complete difference period...

Dude it helps when you’re not putting 8 men in the box.. I’m not a sunshine pumper and I’m not a negative Nancy. Having nkosi allows the defense to be honest with you on offensive play calling .. but when we sold out to running the ball when we wanted to it just looked like we were still cluster ****ed on the oline

I’ll take a defense that gives up some yards but gets 6 turnovers and scores more than double the points they give up

Still don't get this nonsense about Mike Smith outplaying Shaq tonight. Shaq played his best half of ball as a Cane before he to his ankle rolled. He was a big part of the reason why the game was over by halftime.

Learn what you are watching and then come back. The oline in no way looked like a cluster fvck period. St. Louis looked bad on that one play

I will take John Vilma's opinion over yours. He stated that a 3rb offense was the hardest offense to defend when you do not see it each week.

It was a good game I’m just looking bigger perspective .. the oline left a lot to be desired when it mattered if you deny that you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment

It’s ClicheInSight. Guys like that weirdo rotate on like six topics to ***** about regardless of what actually happened.

Completely Disagree on the oline, this was a great performance for them.

I think the 3rd quarter was a lackadaisical mindset given the big lead going into the half. The offense only had 35 snaps going well into the 4th quarter, so the ability to get into a rhythm wasn't there.

Agree on Manny Diaz and his defense. We need to be much more sound going into FSU week though. We were having issues with the run in the 1st quarter.

But I'm not going to complain too much off a 47-10 victory.

Yeah, O-line was far from bad. They did pretty decent in pass protection and run-blocking. Wasn't perfect. But it was far from dog **** as posters are making it seem.

Fun game. Free activator for Finley for October. Team needs to build off of this win. 3rd down defense is refreshing. OL still my main concern.

Go Canes!

Now I will say I wanted Perry to pass a little bit more but that’s fine and it will come, he looks more than capable and has better accuracy than Rosier.this kid sees the game well and is showing great anticipation so far

just saying if that’s a shock to you ... you must’ve been in Malik’s corner because it’s just straight up disrespect when they dare you to throw the ball by stacking the box every down.. if you’re fundamental on offense they have to respect you which is what we saw with nkosi and he can only improve
