So called pundits

To add to the pundits I have seen this week:

Josh Pate - Miami by a FG
Max Chadwick from PFF - 31 - 24 Miami
Dalton Wasserman from PFF - 34 - 27 Miami
JD Pickell - 29-26 Florida ("but Miami is a playoff team")
Andy Staples - Miami
Greg McElroy - Miami
Mostly a bunch of cowards trying to stay on both fan bases good side.

Scary aspect of Cam no one is talking about is that his qbr goes way down after 2.5 sec of time to throw. Is he really a guy who makes good decisions the longer he has the ball in his hands? Break downs show he can be prone to force balls in to coverage and some times lobs it up for grabs after extending plays. When the ball is out of his hands under 2.5 secs he makes better decisions. What will our offense really be...will we have a east west ball out quick type of pass game all year because of this?
This. Sure our OL can hold back the DL longer than WSU did last year but we don't know how much of it is due his strong desire to just make a huge play.

Haven't heard any reporters or insiders ask Dawson or Mario about this. Do they have a plan for him to follow with >2.5 s?

Run for 5 yards at the 3 sec mark, hit the check down/Texas route and just match Graham.

Difference is what Cam can do with <2.5 s... saw somewhere he was the 5th best QB in that time frame...Graham can't match that.

I work in finance and don't know **** about sports betting, but something about that line seems off to me.

We're favored by only 2.5 points. That's practically nothing.

Our over/under win total is 9.5, Florida's is 4.5. That's a FIVE GAME difference.

So the market thinks we're five games better than UF, but head-to-head it's basically pick 'em?

I mean it's either that, or they think 10 wins in the ACC is equal to 5 wins in the SEC, which is stupid. Or maybe they think the Swamp is THAT much of an advantage.

It's just weird and what it says to me is that nobody knows what the **** to expect.
This. I don’t get it either.

It's just logic. How they scream ufag is playing 9 ranked teams from last season... Well of course they are. That's because the media forces this sec narrative and they knock each other off from one week to the next since they play no one else.

Sunday, Josh Pate addressed the fact that all the experts had FSU wrong. He said media peoples’opinions are formed largely by talking to people inside the program.

Usually, if you hear that a team is deficient in some area, it because the staff has told reporters about the weakness in order to temper fan expectations.

20 minutes later, he said Miami’s O will be elite, but likely not immediately… some time would be needed for the unit to gel. The same thing was said by other national guys like Pickell etc. It seems fair to assume that this is what they’re hearing from our staff, and so they’re picking UF.

My theory: Mario is fully expecting the O to be clicking on Saturday, and he’s using the media to make UF believe they’ll be facing a team not quite ready for prime time. To me, this is exactly the kind of disinformation campaign Mario would employ…..

I hope

Yo, he was recruited by the cia for a reason 😂😂😂

Most don’t have a clue what Miami has built in the off season. I just listed to Clay Travis and he pointed to us losing to Rutgers in the Pinstripe bowl as his research.
I’m glad it’s that way tbh. CBS college insiders was split 2-2 on the picks.

Our linemen and skill players know the offense going into year 2 with the exception of a few newcomers, so Cam just has to play within himself & distribute the ball. As for the game-plan, i'd be surprised if it wasn't predicated on running behind the three 230lb RBs we have and creating single coverage outside; spread the defense out wide an pound the inside.

These so-called experts don't know anything...we follow this team religiously. Fact is most of these experts want us to lose, because they know when Miami wins on Saturday in the "feared" Swamp, it will signal that once and for all UM is on the right track and a new dynasty is fast approaching.

This is Mario's 3rd year, and no one wants to win this game more than he does! He has his players, his culture, his staff in place and you can really see the difference this year with the way the players have bought in, how they're doing the little things to get better. I expect the Canes will win by 10-14 points...

No one really knows what is going to happen on Saturday. On paper Miami should beat Florida by 10+ but games are not played on paper, in a studio, or online.

I would love to see Miami pulverize these guys but I just can't say they will. I will be more than pleased with a W for THE U regardless of the score.

Most game 1 predictions are largely focuse don the prior year's performance, combined with the unknowns of a first game of the season and the fact that it's a home game for them, which is usually a 3 point advantage, gives you conservative odds like that.

On Tuesday he corrected himself, in the case of FSU it wasn't just that the people inside the program were stating they were elite, the media had access to basic practice elements and made assumptions based on physique and player body type rather than football skill. You see someone as big and long (pause) as Jackson and you think he will be a monster so you start confirming that this is the best DL in the country. Unfortunately for them, they look like Tarzan, but play like Jane.

I had a small heart attack this AM after watching that clip. I was caught off guard and blown away that **** “cry harder *****” newheisel picked Florida.

Imagine being that butthurt over 20 years later. The boys went in deep on UW that day.
He's such a tweeb. One of my favorite regular season Canes games of all time. That and the Parsegian whining from the booth that JJ was mean and running up the score on the butthurt domers.

Aaron Taylor was just on College Sports on SiriusXM and those picking UF, including him, were hoping for chaos in the ACC. Which a Miami loss would bring.

I have been told it all for a month, the Swamp is like nothing any of these players have played in, their D will be much improved, holes in their roster don't matter because their system play, they have NFL talent, they focused on making big plays this season and they will move Wilson all over to get him touches. Most, like Miami's own fanbase having PTSD, don't really believe it's been so long. That I can understand, but this team is different, finally. I am 100% judging Mario and staff on this season. Crap, this game as well. 31-17 Canes! The positive flood gates start opening across the board for the program with a win in the Swamp and everyone in the program knows it.
