So…watching Alabama - Georgia..

Ole Miss is still the best team in the SEC yes they lost to the gators. That is college football. Lacey and Trinidad are a tough out! In CFP
Interesting take.

I can get on board if their Defense plays better.
But the way they played against Florida was so bad. Hard for me to go there.
We lost to SMU and Louisville last year. It happens. They are a very dangerous team.

Said it in another thread, but the top five teams are where the cut line is, to my eyes.

Miami
ND
UGA
Bama
OSU

Indiana has much less juice with Hoover, and a worse D. I think they’re closer to Mizzou than they are OSU. Next week will tell all.

Texas, Ole Miss, maybe Utah and Iowa, are all in that next cluster.
As of today, I agree with this list.

We lost those games in very weird, unconventional ways. Turnovers that were uncharacteristic and not a part of our identity. Some injuries. Opposing coaches doing strange things. Bad penalties, etc.

Ole Miss lost cause of turnovers too but also cause their defense just isn’t good. That is hard to fix.

i'm not that impressed with the pass defense of either team. if our OL holds up, i think Mensah rains on em
as long as the other WRs, not named Mali, get open. I still don't understand what happened in the second half of Wake.

I think OSU defense and lack of anything consistent outside of Smith on offense has them as a second tier with Texas and the rest.

I have it right now as UGA ND Bama and Miami. These porsters in here acting like we arent to the caliber of Bama and UGA because they looked formidable playing one another are just some mopes. FSU went toe to toe with Alabama until their D let them down. Bama and UGA could very well be more Louisville than Miami. ND same story who is to say they arent a slightly more talented Wake team. Wake also beat Stanford 50 to whatever.

We need to get healthy and handle business but I really don't see a team out there that is as complete as we are when healthy.

Bama sus Defense and fresh QB who can be boom or bust

ND lacks explosive offense, how good is the defense against legit comp?

UGA good defense strong running game can Stockton out play Mensah. Think QB battle decides our match up all things being equal.

OSU young susceptible defense. Sayin panics under pressure and Maryland gave them plenty of work yesterday. Smith is an equalizer but they are an 8-4 team without him.

Miami injuries have reduced the quality of play at IOL and Secondary and despite that we are playing nearly flawless football against reasonable comp. If that continues and we go into South Bend and hang 30 and win by 10 then we are the best team in the country and maybe UGA can knock us off if we dont play up to our standard against them.

We won’t bully teams this year offensively up front. We are however built to give UGA fits elsewhere though.

UGA is meh in coverage and they don’t have a pass rush. If we play fast, get our WRs and playmakers in space and allow Mensah to deal, we would have them in a choke hold.

If we try to play bully ball this year against them, we will play right into their hands. They will eat our OL alive.

On defense, I think we can hang with anybody but again, our defense will be best if we play with a lead which allows them to pass rush. Lightfoot, Wilson, Scott and Moten are then allowed to hunt.

We may have a tough mentality but don’t get it twisted, we win a title by playing a version of the air raid that would make the Pirate smile up in heaven.
you seem to be missing the point. conditioning isn't only about OL and DL.

lol Bama and UGA more Louisville than Miami is a wild *** statement.

He’s one of the few that got the point of “minus all of our standard bravado”

Miami by a 100 against all teams because they’ve all peaked and we haven’t. None will improve as the season goes on, only us!

We fuccin!!

50/50 correct
Ole Miss is the best….they just don’t have a defense either. We are 5-0 against the SEC since Cam was here. The streak continues against any of them this year.
I’m not afraid of none of these SEC teams… not one

Y’all really don’t know your team🤣🤣🤣

I wish we would find a way to get Pringle some more touches. Reminds me of Dwight Phillips Jr - slipping through the line and accelerating. I think he could make some Big plays for us.
Oh fucc. Here we go again.

Both teams are good. Bama is definately better than they were last year. The defense is better for sure and the young QB is a heck a player. They both are contenders Miami stacks up with anyone though that is a fact, certainly as good as anyone other contender
Their defense gave up 36 points to FSU. They’re cheeks. Please don’t fall in line with the espn hype train

I would like to believe so, but we are down a notch without Marion and Daniel, but we have a better QB this year. We didn’t put up big numbers in the playoffs.
Did you just say Marion and Daniels were better receivers than Cooper and Upshaw???

Don’t fool yourself bro, this Miami offense is dangerous. Neither Georgia nor Alabama has the defensive line to create enough problems for Mensah, and both teams have been leaky against the run. This offense has too much firepower for either one of them to slow down.

I just said their defense is better than last year and I don't watch anything on ESPN
I’d definitely disagree with that. Their defense in 2025 was actually pretty good:

Sports reference had them ranked in the top 20 in 2025

They are ranked 45th for 2026-

The ncaa website doesn’t even have them in the top 50-
