No one cares until there is a problem. No one ever talked about Jordan Butler because he got the job done. Clay James came in highly rated at this specialty position. Have several others on the roster. Is usually a walk on try out with the winner getting a scholarship. Any one have any inside knowledge?

very true, the only thing more important is to have no problems with your red snapper because if that's off you may end up "punting" like feagles.

James was put on scholarship in December.
He took all the Spring snaps.
He was named Most Improved Specialist for Spring.
Sounds like the staff loves him and therefore he is the man for the next 4 years just like Jordan Butler was.

BUT I love a thread about specialist !!!!!
This group will be our most improved group at the end of the season.
Hedley, Baxa, James and Spicer are a hard working group of guys.
Top 25 or Bust for them.

You know how I know that Jordan Butler was a GREAT Long Snapper? Because his name never came up once the whole time he had the job. Let's hope Clay James can uphold that lofty standard.

This might be the only thread I'll ever be able to post this in so . . .
I'm assuming the long snap is a spiral snap, it could hardly be anything else considering the distance . . . Does anyone know whether we are using the "dead snap" on snaps under center or in the gun . . . This article lead me to this question:
