SMU Hs Texas state

Don't do it Preston, they're gonna ruin your career, they need Lashlee, but we got Lashlee.

I watched just about every SMU game last year. A good buddy of mine is alum and we watched each others games, and it's early but that offense today definitely was a step slower. They looked like they were thinking, when last year it was so much more fluid and effortless.

I feel you with the below average offense we have had the past few years. I watched a lot SMU tape the last 2 years and the man is legit. All I can say is that Lashlee would have drop 50-60 points if he was calling plays at SMU today.

Yea I was planning on watching the game then something came up. Was it more play calling for SMU or were they just not getting it done?..I know that had to replace proche

I feel like it was more play calling. The team was sloppy but Riley has SMU doing things they are not built for. Stretch runs and some quick timing routes. Buechele throws perfect deep balls but asking him to hit curls and quicks outs doesn't play to his strengths. This SMU offense is not the same Lashlee offense or even Sonny Dykes offense. Lashlee tempo alone would have broke Texas St defense.

That is exactly it. I am an SMU alum and there was no rhythm to the offense. You could tell Lincoln Riley's bro was calling his first game at this level. No pace at all. Lashlee's absence was crystal clear.
