Our team takes on the identity of our head coach. Sleepy, dopey, dreary and lethargic have all been used and it’s exactly how our team comes out every game and plays minus two games (Last year ND and Wisky), atleast on the offensive side of the ball.

These are against P5 schools

In three years Richt has been outscored 118-135 in the first quarter since Richt got here.

In 25 games we have failed to score more than 3 points in the first quarter in 16 of those games.

10 of those 16 we were skunked.

Another 3 of those we only scored 7.

Mind you some argue we play in the worst P5 division in college football with some of the worst defenses. If things haven’t changed by now, including scoring a combined 0 points the last two games in the first quarter, I don’t think they ever will.

Start fast and keep your foot on the gas, that's the Miami way! Not this conservative garbage.

Problem is he’s never done it and never will. He had a chance to step on FSUs throat and he relied on a shaky freshman kicker and he missed a short one. I’m sitting there watching Purdue who is up 20-6 midway through the 4th and they are pitching the pill around the yard like they were the ones who were down. Then on 3rd and long hits a quick run up the middle, surprises the world and bang house call, game. Richt would never do that and it’s frustrating as ****.

It's no wonder we are 5-5 over the last 10 games with stats like that. The game planning is **** poor... actually I don't think there is much game planning. We never do anything different regardless of what opponent we are facing. It's like we just go into every game running the same ****** offense and plays we ran the week before. No new wrinkles, no changes in play calling, no creativity in the run game, no making use of the middle of the field or the perimeter. Richt's offense is NOT WORKING!! When is he going to make some changes and try to put these players in a position to make some plays? I realize this offense is never going to be a Juggernaut with Rosier/Perry at QB and this OL, but I know we could do better with better preparation and play calling. This offense drives me nuts, I can't stand to watch the same crap week after week... It's almost as bad as having to watch Nofrio's defense.

Can’t tell if this is sarcasm or not or what you mean by this post. Big difference between when we do it and when they did it.

No kidding. When someone else runs up the middle on 3rd and long and it just happens to work, it's brilliant. If we do it and it gets stopped, it's dumb. Even though it's the exact same call. You people like to play the results.

The key part is where he talks about how Purdue was throwing it around the field before that play and then made the call on 3rd and long, catching the defense off guard. Richt would call that type of play without any type of set up beforehand.

I've heard it all. If Richt calls any runs ever on 3rd and long, no matter what happened before that play, the game day board explodes for three pages.

Purdue runs one against OSU's terrible defense and now it's a genius call.

Could have just as easily been "He had a chance to step on FSUs throat bet he went for it instead of taking the sure points"

No matter what the call is, if it fails it turns out the other one was correct and would have most certainly worked.

I remember watching Malik make two good throws for first downs after replacing Perry and asking myself where the **** has this playcaling been all night??!!

His next throw was was a fluttering duck that was picked off and returned into Virigia Territory.

The pick six agains Wisconsin, the pick six against LSU and that throw are probably a big part why CMR can't trust Rosier. The kid is a human rally kiler. Immmaturity and apparantly lack of preparation are why he doesn't trust Perry.

CMR compounds this by running an offense that lacks imagination and seems to rely only on his guys winning their individual matchups. If they don't, it's over.

Oh, and his appers his best offensive linemen are too young, the upperclassmen are medicore at best.

That's an ugly trifecta going into a road game against a defense minded opponent.

Imo we win this game if big time players make some individual big time plays. We aren't going to have many, if any, long drives.

Dude wanted us to "step on their throats" by going for it on 4th and 10.

People call any successful play brilliant, and any unsuccessful play idiotic, that's true. The problem is that Richt should know that we don't have the line to make those type of calls work. We can't line up and run when they know we want to run, and he should realize that by now.
