Because it begs the question: why was he so inconsistent at Miami if he was an NFL talent?

Maybe it's coaching. But his DB coaches were stars in the coaching profession. Still are. Work ethic was never an issue, either.

I think he lost confidence. TRob said it directly- the only thing keeping Ivey from the NFL was his confidence. And a big reason he lost confidence is because he was a young man dealing with a toxic fanbase. It messed with his head.

I'm not even talking about the morality. They're adults, they get paid, whatever. I just want them to perform at their best when they're here. And stupid narratives only hurt the cause.

Do you have it directly from his own mouth that he didn’t have this confidence because of FANS criticism or you just been making that up? Cause he could just have low confidence because he wasn’t playing well in games.

If you believe players can be “gamers” why can’t you believe there are players that just don’t show up on game day. You’d think after watching Lofton and Lyle all last offseason and what they did that you’d see it’s fullly possible, and that it doesn’t have to be blamed on fans criticizing poor play.

Now personally I still think Ivey was the best WE had, so it’s all irrelevant anyways. Wouldn’t make sense for us to have not played him…. but come on… this is actually what Damari is - been bad but has the size so you hype him up. Difference is we clearly have superior players at his position that can take his snaps.

This has entered the territory of 2024 where Lance would have Jaden Harris out there constantly when he was one of the worst Dbs to play here.

It’s also possible he was a college student as focused on chasing tail as he was getting ready for games, and public criticism had little effect on his performance. It changes priorities when you are a paid professional and the difference between being a millionaire and being on food stamps is how focused you are on learning your craft.

#1 thing these kids need to know is get off social media if its affecting them.. Sounds like you already see the car crash coming for guys like Cantwell, these kids built different man. Kyle Wright just came back around team during championship run.. I was right there by tunnel In the beloved Orange Bowl when fans were cursing him out saying "**** you go back to Cali you *****".. I know Ahmmon wasnt around back then, **** was real.. Imagine gameday threads where Coker is destroying a dynasty in real time..

Kyle Wright Dad in the stands right there, this is no social media, this real life. These kids got it made, if they feelings hurt they can just put down phone or log into their banking app. Life is good. Show them this old meme. Cant have all the pros of social media and then complain about the cons.. Ball out and enjoy the pros and pff scores..

At this point, he’s just a sloppy Bartolo Colon at the end of his career.

I can’t believe we have to worry about O-line. Didn’t bring in transfers worth a **** to make up for the young guys not being as good as they thought they would be.
