and worries about firing Golden because we have to keep our highly-rated classes intact, here's a look at how the talent stacks up for Saturday:

Arkansas State:

Average Rivals ranking of last 5 recruiting classes: 92nd

- 4 of the 5 classes ranked 80th or worse

Miami:

Average Rivals ranking of last 5 recruiting classes: 18th

- 4 of the 5 classes ranked in the top 20

If anyone was curios, Louisville's last 5 classes averaged a rank of 42nd.

- No top 25 classes
- 4 of the 5 classes ranked 40th or worse

I hope this is enough of a talent disparity to enjoy a comfortable win on Saturday. Unfortunately, talent means nothing if it's not well-coached.

If somebody has the time, I'd love for them to do an analysis of the teams that have beaten us under Golden and see where our recruiting rankings stack up. I bet that only FSU had consistently higher-rated classes. And I'm supposed to be worried about losing recruits?

Do those rankings include the 25+ kids no longer on the rooster?

Actually, most but not all of those 25 hurt the fancy rankings more than anything. We should really be worried about Crow, O'Donnell,King, Hamilton, and Wells, and why they are still on scholarship if he is still going to stand in front of a podium at year 4 saying "we still aren't there."

When we were winning big, UM fans weren't so wrapped in recruiting. We only became obsessed with recruiting when our program went down the toilet, and we began hoping for: a. a recruiting title; b. we would recruit our way into overcoming horseshyt corching.

Neither has happened. And neither will with this clown show. We consistently get walked by teams that we out-recruit. We had dudes on here groveling and hoping we'd just keep it close with a Louisville team stacked with guys we didn't want. Dudes were actually claiming Greaseball shouldn't be on the hot seat if he keeps the margin of defeat relatively close with motherfcking cacksucking Louisville.

Wasn't that long ago that if Louisville kept it close with us we'd be looking to fire people.

People like to cite to Butch as proof that you can be an incredible recruiter but a ****** coach and still win big. Never mind the fact that Butch's coaching staff had 4 future NFL HC's on it, including himself.

Lousiville has won 2 BCS bowls since weve been to our last one.

They've gotten a nice stadium, expanded it, won titles, pay HC's 3.5 million per, and lapped us as a program.

BS.

Butch was an incredible recruiter, but sihtty coach and still won big? Butch was an incredible recruiter, and he won big - but Butch - unlike Golden, inherited a 30-scholarship loss due to the previous activities. Golden's cloud? To date, he hasn't given up any recruits. Oh, we've lost some, some transferred, and there's the normal losses one incurs, but Golden's cloud was nothing like the black hole Butch operated out of.

And how was Butch winning games if he was such a poor coach? Talent? What does Golden do with his talent, and what did Butch do with his talent? Even at North Carolina - Butch was giving Miami fits!

The fact that Butch assembled four future Head Coaches is a testament to his abilities to coach AND bring in top coordinators/position coaches.

Get Butch in here, and he'll close out our remaining season with two more wins than Golden will do.

I'm saying that Butch was a good coach, bruh. And that he had elite coaches on his coaching staff.

Look at this idiot.

I am sorry if that came off as ignorant, but I was just trying to make a joke. I actually do agree with most of what was presented about our recruiting classes, however I still stand stand by the second comment that I made.

Lord I wish everyone would get off the Butch Train..Never coming back to Canes..Ever Ever Ever...He's two years away from collecting full Social Security unless he wants to retire early, in which case he can start collecting now...The baggage he carries goes back to leaving the "U" and the sorry way things ended at Carolina...He's tainted but used to be talented in every way a coach needs to operate for success...BUTCH IS DONE WITH COACHING BECAUSE OF THE CAROLINA FIASCO...

Butch hasn't coaches since 2010 ...... there is a reason ---- Petrino, Coker, Leach..... all damaged in their own way and they still got jobs before butch ---- I agree, thank him for what he has done and move on

I use the same theory for Butch, that I use for Randy.

If Randy was/is such a great DC, why won't anybody else hire him?

If Butch is such a great HC, ...

People like to be idiots. They always point to Butch, but they leave out the fact that Butch has proven to be the greatest evaluator/developer of talent in the HISTORY of college football.

What has Greaseball ever done to make anyone think he's anywhere near that level as an evaluator/developer? He might be a good salesman/recruiter, but he's shown absolutely no indication that he's anywhere near Butch's level as an evaluator/developer.

Like I said, people are fcking morons, so they'll continue to throw out the name of the greatest of all-time in the hope that Greaseball magically becomes Butch Davis.

For the retards so completely ignorant of Butch, recall he was at UNC?

Recall his firing to hopefully influence the NCAA?

Well, geniuses, Butch had a contract at UNC, and the remaining contract was dependent on whether or not he took another coaching position. He takes another position, he loses his money from UNC, and he wanted those beitches to pay the full till.

Is any of this starting to sink in, or does your stupid go bone deep?

Right ...

UNC would have covered any difference between the contract he was owed, and the salary at the new school. So, he would not have lost anything, financially.

But Butch would rather stick it to UNC than be a HC for the past few seasons ...

Does that really make since to you?
