Could not agree more. It's no way you can win 7 championships in 12 years (10 consecutive appearances), without having complete buy-in from your players. In his case, he was able to get that type of buy-in from high school kids. Imagine what he is going to be able to do with more mature players who are that much closer to getting to the NFL.

I’m happy with the hire. Like Ghost said - he’s a former head highschool coach with upwards trajectory with NFL experience. This feels different than the Ice Harris hire a few years ago because A.) The guy has been in the NFL for a year B.) He has his masters already which means he probably is somewhat educated and organized C.) He is a GA highschool (not only winner) elite head coach and D.) He has chosen jobs that will advance his career.
 
I trust Richt! Love the hire. Other than Ga State this guy has been around winning football. I think he can be successful here but he’s gotta start with getting good players.
 
That’s a better resume than Kuligowski. He coached in the NFL and won 10 states in GA as a HC. I’m satisfied.
