Silvera did not travel to Pitt

Yeah, Silvera makes a few plays here and there but I missed him about as much as miss BB.

Taylor flashes but makes less plays than Nesta. His ceiling is higher but the kid is a true freshman. If he had fewer reps he could go harder and be more impactful.

I wonder if Couch had just gotten over it and that’s why he played like crap. I forget who but Manny said another DB just got over it last game and needed an IV during the NCST game.

All these seniors playing lazy/going down for the season is the craziest thing I have ever seen when it comes to UM. It’s suspect to say the least.
These guys are not LAZY. They just aren’t talented enough to make the plays needed. I don’t see lazy play on the field. I see people who can’t match up with the opposition. I see our defensive backs 10 yards off the receivers. I see lbs who can’t match up with a running back out of the backfield. I see poor tackling techniques. I don’t see lazy at all.

Silvera has been the best DT this year. He’s really done a good job of being more disciplined and not just running himself out of the play like he did all the time last year. At 3 tech, his job is to get skinny and shoot the gap, which he has always done pretty well but now he gets his shoulders turned back around quickly and he can change direction if need be instead of just blindly rushing upfield and hoping to run right into the offensive player.

I will disagree.. Pickett had all day to throw the ball. We needed Silvera today and we are going to need the portal in the off season.
I agree we needed him but given all the holding their O line was allowed to get away with I have to wonder how much if a difference he would've been able to make and that's not a knock on him.
