*Sigh* We're not as bad as we played last night.

That was a crazy crazy game. We actually were out gaining them all game. We had 2 nice drives and ended up with 3 points. They had a big play and one other nice drive on a short field and it was quickly 17-3. Gave them another short field and it was 20-3. Then 12 gave them 7 points, ball game. It was horrible football, and horrible breaks all in about 10 minutes and they absolutely maximized all of it. LSU is not a good team, which makes this suck even more.

I think we go 11-1 or 10-2 and get to the ACCCG. There's a lot of football left even tho it hurts now.

I agree we are definitely not as bad as we played...just boneheaded plays over and over again until the thing collapsed.

BUT why are these things not fixed by now?? 3rd down, penalties, special teams??? How long have we been talking about this?

Not as bad as we thought? We are worse. Soft oline play, terrible QB, **** scheme, Worst Special team play I have seen around here in last 4 coaching eras, and defense has holes and will take a step back from last year. Those upper class dlineman will be missed.

Not only did we not make the big plays, even if we did, some would have been negated by penalties:

First quarter, fumble at the feet of MJ who barely tries to recover it. If he does, negated by Bandy targeting.

INT hits Dean right in the hands, negated by Djax being a bozo and roughing the passer.

LSU punting from their GL, we are guaranteed good field position and Harley runs into the kicker (that should have been 15 since he didn’t let the punter land IMO)

We catch a break and Rosseau goes flying over the wall for 15. I’ll admit I didn’t know that rule and I’m guessing that our coaching staff didn’t either since anyone going up the middle should have been coached regarding that.

Factor all that in with Diaz’s terrible play calling, usual missed tackles, OL playing like **** (LSU was running the same 2 blitzes all night, LB up the middle or a CB off the edge), and Rosiers general lack of ability to play QB and you get what happened last night.

No, actually I think we are that bad, against decent teams, anyway. We may have our shining moment against FSU, when the freaks come out at night at Hard Rock. But it is fools gold until some of the systemic stuff that has been articulated so well this morning by posters gets right. And these things won’t happen in a season, let alone overnight.

I rather the loss come early, we can get back in it
Why can’t you just let people be ****ed? Always got to be that one guy that positive spins it. You are what you do. Doesn’t matter if we are better, hypothetically. The game set this program back both in image and ranking. It was pathetic.
