Sideline Tension Between Dawson and Mario

Could it be our vaunted All World OL is a bit overrated. I was expecting at least a few truck-sized holes a game from this group. Even against a stacked box.
Why did you think that? Lol.. our entire philosophy is for our oline to have tightest hip to hip splits and just take a half step and push while brokenheimer gets pushed back.. there is rarely any hole.. we don't even demand it.. just tush push for a yard or 2 and that's fine.. fans will hype it up as line as it looks like tush push lol

I wasn’t implying that it was Beck’s fault that Jojo dropped it. Just used it as an example of another late and short pass. It hit Jojo right in the hands and he should have caught it. Jojo repeatedly had to slow down to shield the defenders (using his back) from making a play on those passes from behind, because they were thrown short and didn’t lead him out in stride. He still has to catch it, no one would disagree with that.

That aligns with what I've been seeing when I state that Beck hesitates about a second or second and a half late before pulling the trigger.

Too much thinking - not enough taking opportunities when they're open.

Speaking entirely for myself - I like some tush push - but not in a football stadium.

oh you can see exactly why mario has a hard-on for this dude, they're two peas in a ****** little pod.

Yup hat's what's hilarious about CMC's man crush on Candle. They are top among the top 4-5 coaches with losses as a double digit favorite in all of CFB. Although what Diaz did that year he lost like 5 times as a 7+ favorite for us was insane.

Its almost Ike someone might be handcuffing Dawson and not allowing him to run the offense he wants to
Dawson is a mediocre to poor coordinator.
I could have coached the offense with Cam Ward last year.
Nobody is telling Down Syndrome Dawson to run up the A gap every play and run into a brick wall on 3rd and short. Dawson is a simpleton and needs to be gone. We’re ******* stuck with Mario for the next decade, so we’re ****ed there, but at least fire this ******* dolt Dawson.

Huh? I watch the play clock dwindle to 0 on almost every play and he’s always moving folks around and checking the play the oline always seem to be looking back to get the call

If he was running the play called we would never see delay of games or us using every second of the play because it would be huddle get to the line a quick man check with motion and snap
He could be calling out protection stuff. Its not always changing the play. If he sees a blitzer coming from one side he could be moving the RB cover to pick it up for example. Who really knows tho. Offense is definitely more predictable than it was with Ward. I don't think they trust Beck so Mario has gone back to his 1970s ground and pound offense that he loves.

2026 (Spring): He finally got his first choice at OC bro. Jason Candle bro. Word inside the Hecht is Luke Nickel is ready bro. Stepped up and took a leadership role bro. Trust me bro. How you do anything bro. Bro bro.
2026 (Season): Candle is burnt out. Just let Toney be all time QB bro.
Vince Russo is a Canes fan?

Was ****ed that Brown ran left when apparently the blocking for that call was to run to the right side where there was a hole for a 1st down or even a TD. Poor execution all day long.
It’s split zone. He can hit that play side a first (bang) and then either play side b (bounce) or backside c (bend). He chose bend with the “FB” kickout. It got wrong armed.

I think it’s more depressing that we are even running plays like this! Are you kidding me?? Smh. That’s like a play from the “Doc Blanchard/4 horseman” days of college football! Good god! Was the hole there? Yes. Is this the most un-innovative play we have in our playbook? Yes. Both can be true.

And the worst part, he cut to Becks side which brings another defender to him! Yes, I’m assuming SMU had someone spying Beck.

Any chance you can post a pre snap formation?

For those complaining about running to the A gap, almost every A gap play is allowed to get bounced to the B, C, D. This play failed because Brown bounced to the wrong side. Then failed because SJ got beat by a LB or DE. Even then, brown could have cut it outside of SJ but failed to thus allowing his man to make the tackle.

Note how Samson and Brock were also beat partly due to Bells guy taking Samsons left leg out.

I put $10,000 on Pringle finding that hole and either making a first down or TD.
