But yeah, I know Zach Smith is a guy with a checkered past, and perhaps an ax to grind with Gattis. BUT, the guy coached the game at a high level and I can't lie this video taught me a few things

Now, do I think he was too harsh on Gattis at times, yes. In terms of player errors, was it all on TVD? No, and he clearly explains why. Our WR's really have to do a better job of blocking on the perimeter (that was very noticeable on the live broadcast). Our the UM route concepts flawed, at times, yes.

Take what you will from this video, but I found it interesting

@Cribby posted it earlier. It was an interesting video to watch. Did you read the comments? Woof. Pretty rough on Gattis

27 first downs and Gattis sucks.

Ok
0 TDs in the red zone, whole WR unit dropping passes and playing subpar i.e. cant block, not accurately running routes, TVD seems to be regressing. I'm not ready to say he sucks or that he should be fired just yet, but he definitely needs to go back to the drawing board and work on tweaking a few things.

Yawn

Where were you the first two games with 0 passes dropped?

It's game 3 of a new system

You cannot have it both ways. Everyone agrees the redzone play calling/scoring needs work but if the scheme sucks how do you manage 27 first downs?

Brutal watch, I will say Smith seems to have something personal against Gattis....
He does. Smith used to work for Ohio State and was put on probation for a domestic violence case that was ultimately dismissed (reason currently unknown).

But given the timeline that I have discovered, this guy seems to have a ****load of screws loose in his head:

Domestic violence, trespassing, stalking, a granted restraining order... yikes. Urban Meyer was put on administrative leave because he knew about that guys past.

The 27 first downs is a yawn. Cute stat but means nothing if you put up ZERO offensive touchdowns and lose the game, especially for a team that was actually beatable. I'd rather have 14 first downs, score score 20-30 points and come out with a W. 27 first downs is a nice consolation prize, but means nothing in the grand scheme of things. It shows the team can somewhat move the ball, but cannot score when it counts most.

As far as the first 2 games with 0 passes dropped it means nothing when the competition is an FCS team and a bottom tier G5 team. Just like 70 points against Bethune meant nothing.

Ok so you're just complaining to complain.

All good.

Three games in anyone expecting a well oiled offensive machine is delusional. If the scheme sucked you don't have 27 first downs. Point blank period.

Good day.

But my stance is quite obvious now, which is to just fire everyone.

We play that game 9 times outta ten with that stat line we win.

It's comical.

Do we need to improve ABSOLUTELY however I think it is ok to give a new staff.....

Wait for it...

Time
oh no, we can't do that. what about 15-0?

Why am I seeing a third thread with this video in it from a guy no one should pay any attention to?

I'm over here laughing at your silly *** accusation of 'complaining just to complain'. 1st year coordinator or not, 0 offensive touchdowns scored and players that look completely lost is never a good thing. There's well oiled and then there's just pitiful and the Canes were leaning towards the latter saturday night. Pointing out the obvious and saying that adjustments need to be made is complaining? GTFOH! You're probably one of those " *insert name* coach just needs to get his guys in and then they'll start winning" Nobody cares about your "moral victory" mention of 27 first downs. Is that the standard now? "we looked like ****, but 27 FiRsT dOwNs BrO!" We'll see how 27 first downs look if the offense is still playing subpar during ACC play.

Stop crying.

No one mentioned moral victories. Again if you think 27 1st downs in game 3 of a new regime where we dominated the lines of scrimmage cannot be improved on and the scheme is broken you need to read more and post less.

Everyone swears we have experienced WRs but zero of you can point to who those kids are.

If we play the same way on the line of scrimmage from here on out that is a lot of Ws.

Ok
We scored 9 points, that is unacceptable as an offense. It doesn’t matter is he got 50 first downs and a 1000 yards. If you can’t score you can’t win football games.
The unit he is in charge of is not getting it done.
He is one of the highest paid coordinator’s in college football and he needs to get this fixed STAT.
