SIAP The Rock Throwing up The U

Ballers I have noticed, but I am not sure someone who isn't a Canes fan would notice it. Same with his other movies. I can't speak for wrestling as I didn't really watch it.
Ballers is practically a promotional show for The U and for the dolphins......but more so The U. He also consistently mentions playing for The U in many of his interviews during talk shows, movie promos, etc...

He is constantly repping Miami.

Its crazy how many people are fuqin booing him when he mentions anything canes, why is Miami the only place that boos there hometown team with there hometown player who actually fuqin won big. I understand booing a terrible player or booing for wanting national title contenders or booing for wanting a coach fired that isnt going to win but for a guy whos already won BIG and reps it hard cmon. Same **** with Butch people hate him but without him we dont have those great years with NFL hall of famers in the 3 deep. The only city that does this **** lol
**** is weird af they cheer for him wrestling then he throws up the U they boo him LMAO cant make that **** up

A little surprised Under Armour was good with that since they don’t outfit the Canes. I’m sure Adidas didn’t mind. Can’t help but respect his hustle and the way he reps the Canes

First thing I wondered was how adidas felt about that?

Under Armour is getting rid of 3% of its workforce and has a been having a rough go of it lately.

They have no leverage over The Rock throwing up the U. They need him more than he needs them and I'm sure ADIDAS gives zero ***** about him advertising a team they produce merchandise for. Free publicity.

Facts. Huge Cane promo before the show moved filming to LA. The title sequence (show intro) shows a clip of The Rock making a sack while playing for the Canes. Jeremy Shockey, Jon Beason, Duke Johnson, Artie Burns and Travis Benjamin we're all on the show. The Rock's office had a Canes helmet directly behind his desk. They had a couple episodes we're The Rock's management company was looking a representing a kid coming outta FSwho. The Rock hesitated at first simply because the kid went to FSwho and I believe he said was "against his Cane religion" when speaking with Joe his business partner. Calais Campbell has a speaking role on the first episode of the current season. I'm a fan of the show kinda reminds me of Arliss that use to come on HBO back in the day. Rashad Mendenhall former running back, played in the league briefly is lead writer.

Unless they thought the U stood for / represented Underarmour

Sure, he talks about going to Miami on Ballers, but he is playing a fictional character so a lot of people may just think that he is saying that for the show - obviously we know that there is some truth there.

I was referring to little things he mentions in movies or video he has inserted but yeah technically you would have to be a Cane to truly know. Here is an example of what I mean. Hospital tv at 2:11 sack against F$U.

Ballers is the cause of the young Miami kids leaving for the league like Yearby who couldn't start for Miami but feels the NFL would be much easier in making an roster and it's best for there families LMAO.

GOCANES

The Rock is genuinely one of the nicest people you could work with. Always very thankfull of all the hard working people around him. Awesome guy. He really worked his way from the very bottom to the very top.

Exactly. Why would a 21 one year old know or care that the Rock played college football before they were born? I wouldnt be surprised if most kids didn't know that he was a wrestler.

Even at my age, it meant you had to be following college football closely as a 9-12 year old. I am sure there are parts of the country that do that, but not here in DC. And how many 9-12 year olds are going to remember a player (who wasnt even that big of a star) if he didn't play for your team or a rival. ****, I didnt even start following the NFL until I was 11 and decided to attend Miami in 1999 w/o having a clue that they had a good football team.
Lugar was involved in all kinds of shît with Macho Man and Elizabeth. I think he was on the team around 1979. Not sure if he got kicked off the team or just quit and dropped out.
Was he the guy who got kicked out of school for assaulting another student and throwing him in a lake?

I think he may have gotten kicked off. I recall reading the story not too long ago.
