SIAP The Rock Throwing up The U

A little surprised Under Armour was good with that since they don’t outfit the Canes. I’m sure Adidas didn’t mind. Can’t help but respect his hustle and the way he reps the Canes

I always wonder do most young kids know he went to the u?

They may think he’s making a u for under armor

The other day I was talking to a 10 year old and I said for shizzle and he was like wtf and when I said snoop said it, he goes wtf

I am not sure who you are including as 'kids', but I am 37 and I would not be surprised if a lot of my friends did not know he went to Miami

If you werent a CFB fan at that time there is a good chance you don't know it. Do you know what college Liam Neeson or Leonardo Dicaprio went to? Rock does rep the U every chance he gets, which is why he is one of my favorite canes, but if you just watch his movies(not interviews, IG, etc. which most people don't) you wouldn't know.

Exactly. Why would a 21 one year old know or care that the Rock played college football before they were born? I wouldnt be surprised if most kids didn't know that he was a wrestler.

Even at my age, it meant you had to be following college football closely as a 9-12 year old. I am sure there are parts of the country that do that, but not here in DC. And how many 9-12 year olds are going to remember a player (who wasnt even that big of a star) if he didn't play for your team or a rival. ****, I didnt even start following the NFL until I was 11 and decided to attend Miami in 1999 w/o having a clue that they had a good football team.

Most probably don't even know he played football. Personally I don't follow any actors on IG or Twitter or watch their interviews or anything like that. I only watch their movies. So unless you actually follow the guy you wouldn't know he went to the U.

Actually, if you pay close attention to some of his movies he has us in there somewhere and then Ballers of course. Anyone who followed his wrestling career should definitely know.

Ballers I have noticed, but I am not sure someone who isn't a Canes fan would notice it. Same with his other movies. I can't speak for wrestling as I didn't really watch it.

Lex Luger also went to Miami. Many 37 year olds might not know who he is, though.

I convinced our 4 year old boy when he was 3 that Maui played for the Hurricanes. That solidified his allegiance.

I was watching a Rock movie recently with my kids and noticed one of the characters was wearing a #94 Canes jersey. God bless the Rock and all his success and for staying true to the Canes.

Now i see gaytors on the screen as well...usually in cuffs and pajama looking threads escorted by some serious looking uniformed gentlemen.

Sure, he talks about going to Miami on Ballers, but he is playing a fictional character so a lot of people may just think that he is saying that for the show - obviously we know that there is some truth there.
