Plays like that don't bother me , it was good coverage with two guys in the picture . Just great ball placement and a great play by the wr.

The commentary sums it up. "I was over there waiting. I was wondering if I could hit him or not"

Owens is sitting there covering nothing. He knows the QBs aren't live and starts to drop back into space with no receiver in the area. QBs being live changes things and probably changes that play.

Perry made a great move on a hesitant player. He might not get a chance to make that move if Owens comes after him like he would in a real game.

Well....being concerned about the two db's ( that's starters)on a play where the offensive guys just made great plays is just kinda lame. A perfect pass and a great catch in to good coverage is just a positive to me. Majority of the time that's a win for the defense. They just won that rep.

I know everyone is desperate for football and over analyzing stuff but that's just worrying for nothing imo.

Exactly , I honestly didn't think anything of the play. I don't take anything from those situations where the qb isn't live. You could actually see the lb hesitate , almost like you could see him thinking.

There was nobody in his area. If Owens has any semblance of field awareness he knows there isn't anyone in his area to cover. He probably had the back anyway and the RB stayed in to pass protect. So in a real game where he can hit a QB, is he just gonna cover empty space or come after him?

Be tired all you want. Owens himself is telling you he was hesitant. If you're not sure about what you're doing against a player like Perry he'll make you look bad. Defenders are playing with Pro Bowl rules when scrambling QBs aren't live.

Just because he can juke a hesitant guy, in a scrimmage doesn't make him a dual threat either. N'Kosi is a guy that uses his mobility to create plays in the passing game, he isn't your typical "Dual Threat", that is usually an athlete pretending to play QB. Perry is athletic, but he isn't the kind of player that looks to run first, as is the case with most modern Dual Threats.
