SIAP:Mike Bobo on "the new" Mark Richt

Sure hope so, because the one that just got fired is not good enough for THE U. He better be the "old" Mark.

Seriously? I'd take the "old" Mark Richt over anything we've had in years. Averaging 10 wins a year for 15 years in the SEC is pretty darn good.

That is because you forget who you are a fan of. If he is only going to produce two conference titles and no national title appearances in the next 15 years I am selling.

I do not share the aggressiveness of your language but I sort of agree with your take in general.

In fact, this is my only real concern about the CMR hire. UM has done its best when we hire the next up and coming coach. Hiring what might be considered "a retread" is not what I believe is right for UM. My only real concern about CMR is, Does he still have the fire to wanna go the extra mile to win a national title. Its good to see at least one person saying that CMR seems to have a renewed vigor. From what I see, that's all CMR needs to win big at UM. He's already got the coaching, leadership and management skills. Just needs to rekindle that youthful fire. Here's hoping!!

Mark is a fine coach and should win here but he needs to get aggressive.

I'm glad CMR is reenergized, now he can focus that energy on finding a replacement for Walter Tucker.

I'm getting more and more excited to see how Richt's team does once they actually take the field. I think we may have a winner boys.

In the SEC. You are one of the "fans" that will turn on Richt after the first loss in 2017, maybe sooner.

I get that Miami is championship or bust and that was the expectation growing up. But currently, I'd just like to be able to join a conversation with my FSU and UF friends at work with some sort of relevance after 2004. Is that asking too much?

Al Golden was putting as many players in the pros as the top programs in the country. If you take "10 win Mark Richt" and give access to our talent base, there is no reason we should not be annual title contenders.

some of you must live in a time capsule. Its 2016 not 2000

This.

Some of you guys gotta eat the humble pie and understand that it will take time for our name and luster to come back. And 10 wins puts us in the ACC title game which when we win puts us in the playoffs. Hence we're in the hunt for titles. Im fine with ten wins because you have to have the wins to get to the ship! Plus I don't see us playing high level competition week in and out.
