Not sure Jimbo is a good comparison for 2 reasons:

1. Jimbo took over a 7-6 FSU program & in yr 1 won the ACC Atlantic winning 10+ games.

2. Jimbo won the ACC in yr 3, a NY6 bowl, & by yr 4 won the Nat’l Title.

But that all happened w/ two back to back QB1 in EJ Manuel then Famous Jameis (both 5 star QBs)

So if we hit on back to back QB1, then we’ll see. Hence y I’ve been pretty adamant about….ah fck it, nvm.

Jordan Travis will be a 3 year starter after transferring, Verse two years, Jonny Wilson 2, Lovett 3 years after transferring. They are getting mostly multiple year starters from the portal. How many average years starting do you get out of a HS recruit.. and now with NIL they might get a lot of those guys back for a third or 4th year.

Don't forget you have to recruit your HS commits much harder to stay then transfers who have to sit a year.

Jimbo was also the OC before becoming the HC for FSU.

When rosters are mismanaged that bad u go into your schedule playing vs men with exp. I think u guys don't get how bad the roster was. It can take that long to be a title contender. Can it be shorter? Yea but u have to be realistic. U can't run a dude out of town that's bringing in talent we haven't seen in a decade even more. Kirby inherited a 10 win team. They were good to very good before and after him. It took time to get to a level to beat Bama and justify the expenditures he demanded.

We aren’t even at that level. Most of us don’t expect the playoffs but we do expect to not look like a bunch of gaping vaginas that have never seen a football before against teams like Duke.

Mario needs to show some juice NOW. Not necessarily any particular win number, but we need to look like a disciplined, well coached football team that’s headed in the right direction.

I agree UGA was good not elite. They did get top quality NFL guys here and there but Kirby took that sh to a whole nother level. Even uga was like ok this is a different level of recruiting. They were tier 2 for a recruiting school. Bama was tier one now UGA is a tier one like bama. I always thought we were tier 3 to 4 now I think we are tier 2 steady with the last class. We need to hit tier 1. And imo Mario ain't going to show to much juice cause the great players are mainly all first years. Like super difference makers are first year guys. Can we win 9? Possibly. Cane we lose 6? Possibly. The roster is unstable so anything can happen.

Yeah that’s why I never cry over a win total.

What rubs me wrong is looking inept. We can’t have that.

HTF did we go from any competent coach could win the conference at Miami to 5 year rebuild???

Talented players are going to change the way we look. We got some day 1 animals that will help. WR though they have to make plays I think Ray Ray will look super good year 1.

I would say Dalvin Cook had almost as much to do with those FSU teams as Jameis did. Shoot he is the only reason they beat us the year they went to the CFP.
