it may not mean all that much, but I just really like the way Jarren conducts himself with the media. To me, I believe more than any other position, at QB1 you need a guy that says all the right things and comes off a certain way. Other positions, let them be the wild men and renegades, but my QB, I want them to be like Jarren-- and during UM's glory days ,for all the characters the program had -the QB's were the model of stability. Anyhoo...

The kid is aces! Speaks very well and is focused.

one thing I noticed is how highly his teammates speak of him, they really seemed happy that he was named the starter. To me, that's telling

That's not a knock on the other guys, but Jarren seems to check certain boxes. Being a quarterback isn't just about the tangibles, but there are other variables that do matter to a certain degree.

I got a good feeling about 15

He really looks and acts the part... I’m crossing my fingers because we are due! I can’t wait for Saturday @k9cane

May be my youth, but I love a guy with Fire. I grew up watching Sean Payton be fired up every game, not playing into the poker face game. Love the approach of Baker Mayfield.

***Also, I’m not saying I didn’t like what Jarren had to say, however, I’m just sparking conversation with OP. I don’t care what they say, as long as they bring W’s and play with fire on saturdays.

I too like a QB with balls and passion. Difficult to find.

JT and MH behind Brevin Malory in his list. Hope it was in no specific order. OR they’ve been practicing a ton of 2TE sets for the turds.

I agree with you for sure however you need more. Malik was good with the media, said the right things and was a likable guy he was just not the caliber of quarterback we need to get where we want to go.

What he said about Zion is the same thing Joaquin said on the lasttl OBB podcast. There is going to be people everywhere, but just do your assignment. Glad to hear when Cane greats are preaching the same thing as our coaches and players.

This is why I think it was smart to come out and name the starter publicly rather than play the "oooh, let's keep them guessing" game. Let Jarren absorb everything that comes with being named QB1 of a P5 team and see how he reacts. There is virtually no film on him so it's not like it's going to force UF to prepare any differently anyway.

Conversely... what the **** was with Susan going on a lecture/rant toward the end? STFU Susan. Ask your question, keep it focused on football, and move on.
It was like her non- subtle way of telling him to not try to win the game all by himself.

He answered it politely and with a good answer. Repetition and know your assignment.
Like a Belichick type of answer really, but with less apathy.
