SIAP, is this legit?

I'll be surprised if anyone from the defensive staff is retained. Maybe Stroud.

I worked for the largest (at the time) OEM and aftermarket automotive parts manufacturer for 15 years. We studied and adopted many of the TMS principles that made the company much more efficient and nimble.

There’s no doubt that many of the TMS philosophies can be adapted to virtually any industry and in one’s personal life as well It changed the way way I viewed work and most definitely changed the way I do things in my personal life.
Manny could use a bit of 5S and some Kaizen events (as well as QFD) to improve the overall management and production of the team.

Exactly and whoever that is is def on this board... Because in the last thread people commented how he got the info from here except that the old tweet said Manny met with BAKER yesterday, a couple of people on the board in the thread 2 hour ago said they took the wrong blake (the board originally said he met with Blake and the podcast assumed baker when it was james) now this tweet comes out an hour ago with an asterik sayin it was Blake James.

And here I thought Manny was firing himself.... my bad.

I'm sitting here, yet again astonished, as how much you all talk about the program and how little you understand it.

There's nothing breaking about Manny meeting with James. The HC has met with the AD after the season (typically early January) for as long as I can remember. I'd guess this happens in every major football program, if not just every university that participates in athletics in general. Or, you know, any job I've ever had. It's called a year-end review.

As for the rest, already brought up here, probably true, and that much more of an indication Baker is gone as well. He's in no position to be the guy who rebuilds the D staff.
All it is period. Year end exit interview. Coach does it with each player and every staff member. Than the a.d. does it with the coach. Standard protocol every single place throughout the country. Far as mike it's common sense and been said for months now. Far as stroud he has cancer. It's been in remission. Came back the week of the pitt game when he got covid. He's been in and out of hospital since. IF he leaves it's because of his health not any other reason at all.

You’re right dude, you’re most important hardest working person on this board and I’ve never worked, totally nailed it.
Most people have experienced everything you have. That’s the grind of trying to very successful. Been a construction manager for multiple 100+millions jobs project throughout a province, in your case a state. I just try and limit meetings unless it’s defcon 5.

Not sure why you went to personal insults, when my post had literally nothing to do with you.

You stated that you didn't think coaching college football is a year round job. If you think that, you're a moron. If you make millions of dollars a year, you work 24/7/365. So when you say these things, about managing $100M+ construction jobs, I don't believe you. Because that is also the kind of job you don't turn off. Further, if you're in PROJECT MANAGEMENT, all you have is meetings. I've been a project manager with multi-million dollar budgets. Your job is meetings.

Further, the notion that "most people have experienced everything <I> have," without knowing me, further puts your ignorance on display. It's an extraordinarily ignorant statement on its own.

I was responsible for $5 billion in managed investment portfolios by the time I was 25. Tell me how many people you know that have experienced that.

For me, the number of meetings was determined by where I was on the food chain. The higher up, the more meetings. Meetings called by superiors and meetings I called with my staff.

The key is to hire great people, relate the expectations, and let them get to work checking on them as often as necessary.
Also, when problems start to arise, those above want to talk about it taking your time away from meeting with those below to actually get it solved.

I'm not saying there are yet. But what I am saying is IF the changes as described are true, it stands to reason, logically, that Baker won't be retained. You don't sweep the rug out from under someone as a vote of confidence.
None of that is an indication of baker falling on the sword. One is health related the other is mike being the scape goat for defenses failures. Been said for months that will happen.

Dang I was just about to ask did he find out after catching Covid. That’s rough. I’m praying for him to beat it once again. Cancer ain’t no joke my mom has beat it 3 times.

Rumph leaving isn’t a shocker he hasn’t pulled his weight in any capacity. Just stealing money. Patke and baker need to go right along with him. Manny just needs to hand the D over to someone and let them bring in their staff. Best case scenario.

I’ve worked with/for several different management styles. The with/for should be a clue as to what their styles were.

Hold on a minute here, Rumph isn’t entirely to blame for Def sucking, but him being fired is light years away from him being a scapegoat

Beyond nauseating. I gotta think manny sees what’s happening and does the right thing. Sure is taking his time tho.

I'm long on record here disagreeing with that notion. I expected it to take time. I still think it looks more like "Baker has accepted another opportunity" than "Baker fired." That process takes longer.

You also have to understand this staff understands PR. And if the recent rumors (Rumph gone, Stroud in a non-coaching role) are to be believed, I'd expect everything is quiet until one big, splashy announcement.

It may be quite quiet for a few more weeks.

let's hope the discussion with James is how much $$$ he is going to need to upgrade his defensive coaching staff

This is the correct interpretation of the situation at hand.

It's so nice to see not everyone is completely braindead.
